  • I can't believe people ever thought he was talented

  • Vaclav Havel RIP

  • pretty surreal comments on this vid.. also, Megatripolis. greatest club night ever <3

  • Poetry and performance are not mutually exclusive, surely? Ginsberg delivers his poems audaciously, of course, but then so does someone like Berryman (of whom I doubt anyone would 'deride' as a performance poet). All the best, Marcus from London.

  • 非常喜欢他的诗歌,有种过来的朋友吗?

  • Zionist degradation

  • OBAMA~

  • This isn't a poem, its performance art, its all about the delivery. Your not supposed to READ it. Your supposed to experience it.

  • great!

  • On this day/year I was born.

  • Hmm...it's different. But I can't decide if I like it yet. I think I do? It is quite funny:)

  • ah, the monkeyreasoning haha pretty funny..

  • Let's stay ontopic. Awesome poem. Nobody's saying this is as epic as milton or shakespeare, it's a small poem, but a very accurate and descriptive one, political, psychological and humorous, it's great!

  • Why is everyone marking down these damn comments in support of Ginsberg? If you fuckin don't like him then WTF are you doing WATCHING?! LOL

  • ginsberg was gay you fucking retard

  • what the fuck's wrong with these stupid comments?

ginsberg should have a fucking statue built to his name

  • 67675656565655656565 is addicted to donkeys.

  • worse shit ever

  • You are not sure he was a great poet? i am not sure of many things in life, but thats one.

  • Fraser has left the Planet...............

  • Thanks. I may do just that.

  • I was there. It was amazing.

  • that's why he was Jewish right?

  • ........

  • Sure, and the Pope is a woman, and you're the Queen of Sheeba.

  • ginsberg was addicted to vagina

  • this cat seems groovy

  • I really don't get this.

I mean, I assume it's about the search for "weapons of mass destruction," but the alliteration, especially when read aloud, makes this very......un-impact-ful.

  • i would have to disagree. the way he reads it defiantely adds meaning and impression to me. He has a fantastic speaking voice.

its more an anti-war poem then one on the search for weapons of mass distruction.

  • So true...

  • poetry will cause controversy. This poet caused controversy it seems. Fuck'em. He could write.

  • the most cogent analysis of neo-con [foreign] policy I am as yet acquainted with. Amazing the power of the so called Dead.

  • he was jewish you idiot

  • Honestly, why do you even bother?

  • while i think men like ginsberg oversimplify issues at times, this bit has some wonderful rhythm and very accurately reflects the societal chaos and nonsensical implications of WMDs and violence.

  • what's poor about that? I'm sure he had a hell of a time doing it

  • You said it dinnerbuckit9. Allen Ginsberg is an endless gift to the world! I feel sorry for those of you who are to close minded and warped that you are incapable of experiencing the true and utter beauty that was and is Allen Ginsberg. An American Saint indeed!!

  • Allen Ginsburg is as close as we [ lapsed Catholics] get to an American saint. Yet free of the repressive Muzak. His life, from start to finish, was extra-ordinary for all the god reasons; he was kind, he was loyal, he was fearless, he was gifted, he was impossible, he was irrefutable, he was constant,he was unashamedly queer, he was lyrical, he refused hate.

  • i'd love to read some of yours

  • B r i l l i a n t.

  • I agree, all in all grand, listen and take it on ,nice one .

  • stop bickering and listen to poetry. that's what we do here.

  • rabmunch is just a common or garden megla-maniac. If you don't comprehend the enormity of what he's saying, 'you're a fool.' Personally I've no time for his verbal diarreah, and don't mind saying so.

  • rabmunch, I don't mean to judge and I hate to be among those who egg you on, but you really come across as a pretentious dick. But thats okay, because I believe in respecting people for who they are, especially if they express themselves as purely as they can, and remain accepting and open to criticism...

  • but maybe i'm just an idealist, or a foolish optimist. You might be happier if you were less of a cynical, magniloquent, malcontent. Very many people who knew Allan Ginsberg loved him very much, as do many who didn't. I wonder if your persona is so endearing... its certainly not to me. Namaste.

  • allen

  • Is the obscene only to be allowed to these corrupt and insolent fools?

How else can one lash them?

I speak the language and in the tone they deserve. I make them red. So, don't blame me... I didn't invent these democratic floral games.

  • If it were so you wouldn't be judging me, would you? Futuere in culo, that was Gansburgh's whole heart and desire, as it was Burrough's. But I am not motivated by these common or resentful motives. You are too much of a blockhead to see them? Oh, you really are pale. Can you not even understand "contempt."

  • What have you to be ashamed of, Cum-cunno?

What little secrets are you protecting from view? You can take your Mensa and your Masters and clean your rear-end finely with them. You are claiming conventional honours? Well, Sir, I crown you with a sausage! Be sure only to eat it. Cover all the "literature" that your little bourgeois ambitious heart desires, but you shall know none of it. For "you are pale."

  • You speak like a small time financial attorney who draws up contracts. But it's the middle of the day, and WHY arent you at work?

What have you to say about the herd? Can you defend the herd, both for and against permissive egalitarian philistinism? What interests do you have? A little e-steam, and a lot of hot air.

  • For those who have difficulting with English:

which of the following doesnt belong?

    A) Ginsberg

    B) Jeffrey Dahmer

    c) Dmitri Vladimirovich Kuznetsov

    d) charles Manson

    e) the blockhead

    f) none of the above, they are all of the same spirit.

    Answer: 'e' or 'f'

  • Does the blockhead belong or doesnt he?

Well, it doesn't depend on a taste for hairless boys. What about perverse insensibility? But the blockhead is merely an ordinary work-a-day bourgeois. SO in fact, he doesnt belong. Blockhead, have you difficulting with my meaning?

  • I have no difficulty with the English, or with the Irish, if you must know. But you are a blockhead, and I have a lot of difficulty with blockheads - as their heads are made of granite, like yours. I am glad you found my points ludicrous, since anything a blockhead finds ludicrous must have a strong dose of truth within it. What else have you to say?

  • with obscure shit like this guy it's difficult to seperate a man from his life's work. the drugs don't reduce the value of his work at all. it just happens that cocaine is intense

  • Per anfractus deinde obscurissimos egressus in hunc locum me perduxit, prolatoque peculis coepit rogare stuprum. Iam pro cella meretrix assem exegerat, iam ille mihi iniecerat manum et nisi valentior fuissem, dedissem poenas... adeo ubique omnes mihi videbantur satureum bibisse...

  • Why did you bomb?

    We didn't want to bomb.

    Who said bomb?

Who said we had a bomb.

    Classic!!!

  • you are a facsist moron

  • From unmotivated and drunk to being President, Bush is a fake. He is really the spiritual twin of what he claimed to despise, an autocrat. He was a perfect autocrat, who tricked himself into thinking that he was a man of the people and a champion of freedom. A man of fear and doubt, and a scion who pretended to be compassionate. He resented freedom, democracy, diversity and intellect. He was worse than excrement, he was a fascist.

  • you have to see "Omnivoro" of peruvian poet Rodolfo Ybarra

  • awsome, he was one of a kind genious

  • how is it that he is so current.

  • poetic idiot

  • don't worry you're OK.

  • tongue is sharper than a sword or a bomb

  • ginsberg. absolute brilliance.

  • Queer, yes. Overrated, no. Kerouac's a pussy. _On the Road_, for one, is weak on more than one level. Ginsberg's real. It's not one of his best poems, but it's very powerful nevertheless, and relevant to our times.

  • I hope he's topping Ezra Pound in heaven.

  • poetic genius

  • What a douche

  • Even in his last days he was full of life and youthfulness, i don't think a bomb could even come close to having as much energy as allen ginsberg

  • this is called "whom bom"

  • what is the title of this poem. allen ginsberg is amazing! :)
