Resident Evil 1 had a huge influence on me. It was the very first horror-related thing I got to experience, and it got me hooked on the genre. Now I'm a huge horror fan. Games, movies, books, you name it. And I still find this game fun. Just beat it again moments ago in fact. It's been what, 16 years, and I still play it time and again and enjoy it fully. Back in the day Capcom knew what they were doing, and it's sad to see what Resident Evil, and the company itself, has reduced to these days.

For those who hate on RE 4&5, know this, if Capcom retained the fixed camera angles; for what they had in mind to end to official series, they had to change it to the shoulder camera view to add the extra sense of satisfaction and thrill as well as a new level of fear and sense of alarm. RE 4&5 wouldn't be nearly as good if they retained the original aspects of RE. And as for Chris. Remember, the B.O.Ws are always getting getting stronger,Chris needs to do the same in order to even the odds

@Voltan I have the 4 on Gamecube and the 5 on Xbox 360, and they are good games for sure, but for me they are not what RE is supposed to be... But it's only my opinion, i have many friends that find the new type of gameplay innovative, and they like more action than "survival horror", even if they like a lot the firsts RE's games... You misunderstand me, RE Rebirth is fantastic, probably my preferred RE's game with 2 and 3 Nemesis, and the Cube is a great console...

@Axeleonth i'll help you if remember when you killed yawn the snake the second time and barry had to get the rope, if you left without him coming back he dies in the lab, or you said no to him in the underground area, or no to going with him underground and saying yes for waiting for him, and also if barry dies you don't get to kill the tyrant again and the game ends when you set off the flare, so next time you play make sure barry survives plus if he didn't survive you get the credits with pics
