I truly appreciate your synopsis of this first VN released by Etude. Sadly, it seems that the VN won't be translated in English, as I can see it is a very great and sentimental masterpiece. Looks wasted, IMO.
Hm, so the story is something like Higurashi? A guy visiting some old village.. a lot of cute girls.. some shrine.. and the guy realizes not everything is as it should be.
Mikomai is not like Higurashi at all. This is NOT a violent game. When I replied to suncar557 and explained the plot, I said "not all is as happy as it appears" for much more subtle reasons. I won't spoil any of the plot for you, but each of the girls has a rather nasty problem you don't discover until about midway or even two-thirds of the way through that girl's path. The game is rather lighthearted until then, except for the hidden "final path" which is tragic and sad most of the way through.
So it's something like "Shuffle!" ? A guy and a lot of girls, and each of the girls having a more or less dramatic secret.. Anyway, I'm not sure if i'll try get this game (tho I'd like to play a japanese game this style or alike), but you got any idea of where I could get it if I wanted it?
It's not a series, it's a game. It's called "Mikomai."
You, playing as the protagonist, are visiting your childhood village (it'll be your last chance because the rail lines to it are about to be discontinued for good). The hotel screws up your reservation, but fortunately Natsuki, your childhood friend (and one of four possible love interests) invites you to stay at the shrine where she works, and thus the story begins as you realize not all is as happy as it appears.

Yes. It's currently being seeded as a torrent at Hongfire. Try checking there first.

Yes. Hongfire has a torrent of this game. Try checking there first; I think it might even recently have been re-seeded.
