Alpine Full Speed iPod

My friend just gave me this deck and it freaking rocks. I picked up the ipod cable from ebay for around $15 so not too expensive actually

@megabutler Yeah dude I still love it, and I've had it for quite some time. In the future I plan on upgrading to a more modern one with more extensive iPhone compatibility, maybe an aux in, and definitely a Midrange EQ. But this one definitely gets the job done.

I have Alpine 9887 (top CDA-MP3 model, with iPOD and Full Speed support) and iPod classic 120Gb

I want to connect 9887 and iPod whith KCE-422. Will I have to buy something else for it? And will iPod charge the battery whith KCE-422 or just play?

Lol the cable is now I think 20-30 bucks.. I just got the Alpine cde-102 with Kenwood speakers.. It rocks!

you know I have the other iPod nano...the little short squared one, and it dosen't work with the ipod connector for my stereo...idk why.

yeah because i've tried it with the classic ipod, and the ipod that you show on your video and it works fine. but with mine, it just says "searching" thats it. idk if its the ipod model that dosent allow it or some sort of setting i have on itunes...who knows

It came with a case to put the HU in, I don't think there's a code or anything. I don't normally take it off... I live and the country and if I'm out I lock my doors. It works for me.

Personally I think it's great. It all depends on what you're looking for. The display isn't exactly fancy, but it has a sub out and 2 component outs, bass and treb level and freq control, the iPod interface, a built-in HPF... lots of good stuff. I would reccommend it.
