I saw them in 1967 many times. I believe it was Viv Prince on drums in the beginning, this show its Skip Allen on drums, John Stax on bass, Phil May singing, and Dick Taylor on guitar. .Their perfoming back then was similar to The Who with wrecking the stage and gear.
Midnight To Six Man - The Pretty Things [England] - 1965 - "the song is a BRASH, roaring celebration of the group's nocturnal pursuits on London's club scene." - Nuggets II: Original Artyfacts From The British Empire And Beyond, Vol. 1-2001. NOTE The Pretty Things was one of my better finds. :-)

NO....... Jesus is God. Dick Taylor is just a man and sinner like you and me. But the Good News is that Jesus loves you and He died for the whole world just to save us and to have fellowship with Him. God bless you. Daniel.
Damn! Souns great-as they often had then. Skip and John sound powerful-Dick and Brian mesh like a machine and Phil explodes! BTW--funny to see Dick taylor without a beard!

This is from Beat Club, WDR German TV 16 April 1966. Also on the same show: "Roadrunner" & "Rainin' in my heart", both found on Youtube.

Think this and a lot of the Pretty Things live stuff sounds better then their recordings.

@jt123egypte Check out THIS live version they did, also on YouTube: wwwDOTyoutubeDOTcom/watch?v=VTj5fTP7Qlc&feature=related
In my opinion, even BETTER than the original studio recording.
