I think that Brooke still does love Lucas, and 6.17 proves that she does, but i think she was dealing with it the best she knew how; keeping her feelings in, pretending to be happy for Lp exacly & i think that kiss brought all her feelings back.
god lucas is fun when he is with brooke :) brooke brings the fun in! and she is the best character on t.v!! plus she is one of the most beautiful girls!!

i agree with all of you this episode was the highlight compared to the boring leyton scenes also did anyone notice brooke turned off her phone when she was with lucas and peyton didn't plus i thought the scene with lucas shwing brooke how he proposed must have been hard for sophia that's why she's my favorite on oth!

this episode proved even more to why I still ship this couple,because they have something really special and are the real love story and brookes so selfless she really is she puts others happiness before her own and its clear in that episode she still loved him a lot and it proved she never once stopped loving him she only distanced herself from him to stop her heart from breaking more :(
Its funny too because seeing how much she loves him in this scene, which is 2 years after season 4, it proves that she still loved him after they broke up and only kept her distance to keep Peyton and Lucas happy (cuz thats what she thought Lucas wanted). It really makes you appreciate even more how selfless and loving this girl is. <3
i couldn't agree with you more. the whole time I watched 409 I kept telling myself Brooke please don't tell him to go after peyton but she did cause she tought it would make luke happy and thats what mattered to her the most. this is why I love Brooke so much, she was never selfish when it came to Luke's happiness and she'd never betray another person no matter how much she disliked them.
