  • For any neophytes out there, don't forget to watch part two, too. For the rest who haven't seen this in a while, enjoy again!

  • 5:04 nice shadow mr cameraman.

guess that why the budget was under $8000

  • All hail Paul Frees!!!

  • The voiceover was done by Paul Frees, who did the original Star Wars trailers. He used he voice he did for the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland/Disneyworld, if you're wondering why it's so familiar!

  • 2:36 theres someone in the background, haha!

  • SPACEBALLS. ;)

  • Sweet I remember watching this on Beta.

  • Hmm... Android Fork U Too. That's pretty racy for its time.

  • It's been said that the entire Star Wars series(episodes IV-VI) would never have happened except for the one decision not to shoot down the pod carrying C3PO and R2D2. Of course if that Death Star employee had shot them down we'd never have a gem like this!

  • takes me back to my childhood and that tape I know I wotre out called Hard\ware Wars and Other Film Farces. Just awesome stuff.

Thank you for many laughs from my childhood and even now 30 years later. :)

Best of all, a night club I used to run, the Palms Cafe in San Francisco, doubles for the freaky bar.

  • Darph Nader.......villain. LOL

  • Hot XXX Crsoss'd cinna MOn bunns ... HoVa ...

  • so sick

  • I saw this as a kid, I believe in 1978 on The Captain Cosmic Show on KTVU hosted by the late, affable wonderful host Mr. Bob Wilkins (R.I.P.) this ridiculous movie ha ha ha : ) Thumb me down if you wish folks, but it's far more funny, imho, than Mel Brook's late on arrival Space Balls. True.

  • @Khultan Totally agree dude!!! I just remembered this movie today and looked it up. I saw it on Captain Cosmic too!! OMG...that guy had the glittery supersuit and zero personality!!! Love the post though!!!

  • Yeah, and the robot sidekick. I can't remember that thing's name : ) good times, late 70s.

  • I first saw this when I was 11. Still funny after all these years!

  • havent seen this since i was a kid its stilll pretty funny

  • I do believe I just may feel supercharged with intrigue.

  • Did anyone notice the 1138 and "I have a bad feeling about this"? How is this possible? How did the guys know that they would become a trademark in the later films???? :)

  • gee willickers

  • My brother walks around the house with his flashlight saying "Golly"

  • nice

  • This finally crawled out from the recesses of my memory and thanks to you, Michael , I've laughed and cried without kissing three bucks goodbye. Thank you. The image that came back to me and drew me here was Hans and the Wookie Monster. After watching it I realize how imbedded in my mind the scenes are. Yeah, Hans' first expression...hahahaa

  • WOOKIE MONSTER!

  • Hahahah 5:06 Fluke's face is priceless. HAHAH

  • LOL Googley eyes ftw.

  • I've been looking for "Closet Cases of the Nerd Kind" and can't find it anywhere. I think it's even funnier than H.W.

  • I believe the only place you'll find it is on an old (1978) Warners Brothers release called HARDWARE WARS and Other Film Farces.

  • anyone seen "Closet cases of the Nerd Kind"??

  • 1:48

    this is Madness

    xD

can some one do a remix?

  • lol, Ham Salad...Intergalactic wiseguy

  • Luv the Laurel and Hardy line. Flukes facial expression and voice are so great.

  • First time I saw this (I think) was on HBO when I was a kid. It was one of those "between movies" things they showed. Laughed our butts off the whole time. However, I think it has already been reasonably suggested that George Lucas was rooming with Frank Herbert, and possibly stole his story and changed a few things. Either way, George Lucas is a contradictory nutjob. He's proven this on several occasions. Just ask the people who have worked for him. The crew, not the stars.

  • I remember that. We called them time wasters, but this was better than half the full length movies they showed.

    "What a martyr!"

  • THIS IS STILL BRILLIANT!!!

  • I used to watch this all the time as a kid with my brother! It is such an awesome movie!

  • Chewchilla! Lol!

  • HAHA Someone slipped the chic from Space balls in the background while they were in the desert!

  • Ha Fluke is driving the Wonder Bug!!!!

  • this is the original not the special edition.

  • So glad this is on YT! now.. I remember searching YT years ago for HWW and there wasn't any thing .. Thanks for posting it!!! :d

  • Gosh, wowee, jeepers, golly wilickers! Its nice to see the original version again. I bought the shitty "re-mastered" VHS that came out about 10 years ago. Still hilarious.
