The point you were probably trying to make was why would he increase taxes on someone who worked his ass off more than on someone who has not. Loaded question btw but even if it wasn't the answer would be pretty tricky. The argument that in doing so, he is "punishing" rich people can be turned around very easily. You'd need to give a good reason why everyone shouldn't be taxed the same percentage-wise (at least initially) and that answer is complicated.
Your argument is unclear on a couple levels. First of all it implies that Obama is raising taxes "to pay for people who sit on their ass all day." Thats very obviously not the reason people pay taxes. Second, I was under the impression that 120,000 was below the increased tax bracket. Third, if I were to take your question seriously I would only need to answer why someone might increase taxes in the first place.
I don't know about you other WORKING americans... but i really don't like to pay for people who sit on their ass all day. There is a person I know who (let's call him Mike) makes around $120,000 anually. He finished within the top 10 GPA his Senior year of highschool. The point you were probably trying to make was why would he increase taxes on someone who worked his ass off more than on someone who has not. Loaded question btw but even if it wasn't the answer would be pretty tricky. The argument that in doing so, he is "punishing" rich people can be turned around very easily. You'd need to give a good reason why everyone shouldn't be taxed the same percentage-wise (at least initially) and that answer is complicated.

Your argument is unclear on a couple levels. First of all it implies that Obama is raising taxes "to pay for people who sit on their ass all day." Thats very obviously not the reason people pay taxes. Second, I was under the impression that 120,000 was below the increased tax bracket. Third, if I were to take your question seriously I would only need to answer why someone might increase taxes in the first place.

There is a person I know who (let's call him Mike) makes around $120,000 anually. He finished within the top 10 GPA his Senior year of highschool. I was referring to your defense of terrorism. I never made any of those ridiculous claims in your post. Terrorism is wrong. Whether or not it can be "helpful" is beside the point. There is no basis on any claims that say it prevented another 9/11. That was a hypothetical justification people were using that seems to have been misunderstood.
