Marie Winter was cool...never quite sure who was the toughest out of her and Bea. Apparently she was the top dog in Wentworth before Bea arrived there.

I think your right she was, Bea decked her at Barnhurst when she gave Bea drugs, and I remember when Marie arrived at Wentworth for the last time, that one of the screws said that her and Smith had to be seperated, so I guess Vera thought it was better to have Bea in charge than Marie. So Bea must have been the tough one

Bea was the Top Dog but Marie arrived when Bea was in the prison hospital with kidney disease. When Bea went to the big hospital for a kidney transplant, Marie finagled her way into the Top Dog position. Bea had been top dog for about 240 episodes up to that point.
