  • i rather use AMD base systems than Intel base sytems. Because of AMD has Risc86 (more RISC-Like) design on their CPU.

  • What's the different between AMD's x86... and Intel's x86?

  • I prefer AMD a mix between risc and cisc.

  • When Intel introduced the 8086 they admitted that they could have made a more powerful processor if they had totally foregone compatibility with the 8080. 8080 code could be translated by CONV86 to run on the 8086 because to the architectural similarities to the 8080.

    So Intel processors still have basic similarities that olde 8-bit processor.

    For most businesses Intel processors are so powerful the difference from RISC doesn't matter tho RISC might be better on a per transistor basis.
