  • nas deserves all the credit he doesnt get. the guys 38 and never gets worse. i love eminem but nas has not once changed his style. only his intentions. its admirable how he helps everyone else in need thru inspiration.

  • "The Master of the Masses One has power The other one lacks it Guns are power Controlled by assets Owned by financial forecasters Who are the Masters? They are the Gangsters They are the bankers The ones who tax us The Masses They are us The sheep, the people Divided in classes." THIS IS WHAT I CALL "real music!"

  • One of the best LPs in the Past Decade. With ThumbsUpMike.

  • this is easily in the top 10 of all time albums

  • Damian plz make all this songs ones again witout Nas!

    Sry but it is so..........

  • @xCarlito67x you serious? Nas has some of the deepest lyrics. his flow is crazy. i bet you can barely even understand what Damian Marley is even saying.

  • @shammy1021

    you bet?

hehe little funny boy you loose!

    Nas sounds like shit........

  • @shammy1021 It's not fair to use Damian's accent as an argument against him. If you have the album, the lyrics are there for you to read. And Damian's lyrics are just as real and deep as Nas' are...one of the realest verses I've heard in a long time is Damian's opening verse in Patience. They both contributed to making this album the masterpiece that it is, not just one.

  • @shammy1021 just because you can't understand doesn't mean damian doesn't have just as deep or sometimes i think even deeper lyrics in his verses. and as for me i can understand damian far more better than nas.. anyway, i think this album is the best this way, with both of them. one love

  • damn nas this shit tight

  • damn nas

  • Lil wayne is as deep as my toilet, Nas as deep the ocean....

  • @gfropr lol

  • wow this album is so powerful and it saddens me that it didn't gain mainstream attention instead bullshit albums by a bitch with pink hair and big ass gets props and some shit by some incoherent idiot with dreads gets celebrated. i feel almost guilty only buying three songs of itunes and downloading the rest

  • africans, thumbs up!!

    that means all of us

  • Nas is a Legend.

  • my mind is my modern day spear

  • The master the masses, the one has power the other one lacks it.. guns and power controlled by assets owned by financial forcasters, who are the masters they are the gangsters, they are the bankers the one who tax us, the masses they are us, the sheep, the people divided in classes!

i got nothing to say anymore..

  • Biggest Anti-illuminate Track.

  • @beatboye no, that's immortal technique- Bin Laden.

  • @snowharttify BIN LADEN DIDNT BLOW UP THE PROJECTS!! IT WAS YOU NIGGA, TELL THE TRUTH NIGGA ( BUSH KNOCKED DOWN THE TOWERS!!! )

  • @migeezel Immortal Technique 4EVA!

  • @snowharttify yh and that too, dont forget Lupe Fiasco-I'm Beamin

  • i dont get why these songs are on the charts. They should be number 1

  • @VorteXSongz We as fans have to demand it on the radio-through album sales. We have to provide a reason for this music to be heard. For this message to be heard. We as in all things have the power in unity to make a change. It deserves it.

  • Rise up to my defense

    Hollow pointed is my preference

    Should have been deterred

    Don't know what you heard

Get referred!!damien your dad must be soo proud..god bless you!!you are a warrior!!!!!

  • <3

  • only 1 race and thats human race you have to be a retard to think other wise

  • @tharizzdizz man you speak pure truth, much respect

  • @tharizzdizz Amazing words.

  • @tharizzdizz nahh man 2... people who smoke weed... and the fools that dont hahahah

  • @tharizzdizz im white and definetly hate racial profiling. i hang with all races and listen to all genres of music. if its quality(like nas and damian) i love it

  • @tharizzdizz The only ones that pushed us to wars and racism are the media and the leaders that think that the white people should not in any case join their powers with the black people. In theory this will mean war for them. If we join together, they will fall. They want only to see us fighting each other. Think about Jesus. He didn't say "I will gonna be on this cross only for white people's sins". No. Think about it people. They MUST fall down. Illuminati, fuck them!

  • @tharizzdizz no, but im neither a retard nor a racist

    (Y)

  • this song is crazy! the level of genius wow!!

  • wow, 555 dat a sign

  • @nashaiti sorry wat does 555 mean

  • @MegaSkillz101 think it like something dat gotta do wit god, like da 666 gotta do wit satan, i waz prolly thinkin of something else lol

  • joli métissage musical malgré quelques bruitages inutiles

  • for mature minds

  • Nas' opening verse is the realest shit i've ever heard, and people, stop fighting, there is no reason for human beings to insult each other and not be able to debate peacefully.

  • I could see that some of you'll still ain't get de messege.......... we are all Distant Relatives when its all said and done

  • <3. nothing more.

  • @halz2121 your comment makes you sound very educated! You are the epitome of ignorance!

  • @madderdanyuh so, rise up to my defense, hollow point it is my preference, should have been deterred, dont know wat u heard, get referred by the wrong referenceWhen this spear start dispense it a fly and a tear through fence, dismember your members and all of your limbs, body bust inna nuff segments

  • Best collaberation going, in a way i prefer it not being played on the radio, at least then you don't get noobs who don't understand the meaning of the lyrics ranting and raving about it, this is purely aimed at the streets, Nas is God.

  • @MrDubhead93 Nas is cool, but he can't touch Damian's flow.

  • @FreeMind209707 please dont compare nas & damian . the whole album is about freedom, peace & unity. PEACE dont start an argument stating who is better they are both great! c'mon nas was brilliant damian was brilliant too. let it goooo. and i suggest u listen to their song FRIENDS if u havent. im sure they will hate to see people comparing them... its like their message isnt heard :(

  • @aaliyubbello14 Who's arguing?

  • HOTTTT - New single(2010) - Nas feat Rihanna - The hearth of streets in my channel

  • @ 2:01-2:05 To Listen To Damian Call The Names Of The African Kings,Chiefs & Warriors Like That, Is Awesome. He Says It So Prideful,Gives Me Chills. That Is A Warfare Call From His Heart. Makes Me Want To Grab My Spear & Run Up To The Mountain Top;-) I Swear That Man Must Of Been Royal In His Past Life. Our Ancestors Are Dancing. Thank U Nas & Damian, U Got A Queen Here Ready For Whatever;-) !!!True Kings,Dispear!!!

  • Thank you because I am a black guy From Motor City that didn't know white people supported this type music. You Rock! for that, You Rock!

  • @Gabrielregalado2 thank you. i just say it how i see it. @paylier right words do paint a perfect picture. Much love to both!

    With spiritual detergent."

    LOL.... XD

  • this song would make a great mix wit power by kanye

  • The songs made in this past decade can't compare to the classics that are made on this fuckin album!!!!

except for the solo albums Nas and Damian made of course;P

  • @ThumbsUpMike

thumbs up mike. lol. weird fucking name man.

  • @ThumbsUpMike Damn dog, i feel ya!! OMG...real music!

Riddim,, Reality and Respect, Big Thank You to you Gentlemen for helping to bring about a new and better way of educating for the 21st Century.

  • These two have too much energy!

  • BRUTAL..

  • this song is just soo raw

  • yo out of all nas and Damian Marley songs this is my favorite song and when you hold a spear you are not afraid of anything just like the Zande warriors they were the most dangerous African warriors and i am an africain and i just love that part were it stops and a lion does this sound Rrrrrrrrrrr and Damian Marley just starts raping so fast so that is my favorite song.

  • "I go off like a Shiite bomb" is probably one of the most ignorant lines i've heard from Nas, who over the course of his career has offered us plenty to choose from. Associating Shia islam (whose followers have a history of being oppressed in fact) with a device of mass murder is the type of bigotry i would expect from the most extreme right-wing crackpots. That's like saying "I'm dope like African-American crack." Destructive drugs have no ethnicity just as bombs have no religion.

  • @TheMeatandPotatoes

You silly man, Going off in hood talk means exploding. Shite Bombs explode with no warning and that is what he means. It's called a metaphor. He does say shit like I'm dope like cooked crack. In his other song he said my chest is cut up like a bag of dope. It's all metaphors. And Shites blow shit up what the fuck are you talking bout, those are freedom fighters.

  • @Alara0625 First of all, the line in question is a simile, not a metaphor. Second, could you please define "Shiite Bomb"? You seem to be a victim of the same type of ignorance, or what you refer to as "hood talk", as Nas.

  • @TheMeatandPotatoes

A Simile is what they call it, you are correct. A Shite Bomb is a Bomb used by Shite freedom fighters. I believe those Bombs are the type that go off by detonation. I know Nas means blowing up on the system, which is what dudes in the Hood mean when they say Go off.

  • @TheMeatandPotatoes shia muslims were the first muslims to use suicide bombs in the muslim world against the apartheid regime of the so called "jews"..thats why he says it..you fucking mongoloid!! dont listen to shit you cant understand...

  • @feyzu66 "Mongoloid"? It's becoming increasingly clear why in fact in it is yourself who has no understanding of the topic. I can assure you that Nas's ignorant line is not a reference to the 1983 Beirut bombing. You're overestimating his knowledge. Anyway, if you just made the effort to read the news over the past 5 years, you will realize that Shia muslims are often the victims of suicide attacks.

  • @TheMeatandPotatoes you fucking imbecile are you a Muslim, have you ever been to Beirut..any knowledge of islam or the relation between Shia and Sunni muslim? Am pretty that you dont!! Suicide bombs were the creation of shia-muslims in the muslim world, and the part where say, shia muslims are a victim of bombs very true, the bombs from pig-eating kaffirs!! This is a topic your little cant comprehend, pls don’t speak of a matter which you have no real knowledge of...thank you

  • @feyzu66 Are you intimidated by the idea that a Canadian who has never been to Beirut might know more about political Islam than you? Anyway, my original point was that it was wrong of Nas to link bombs with a religion, as if the use of such weaponry is inherent in Shia doctrine. It's plain ignorance.

  • two people out of like 6 billion have no life. smh.

  • @sk8mafiafan lol..

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • ~ ALL people hating on today's hip-hop and how crappy it is, sit the fuck down and listen to some Distant Relatives ya haters ~

  • I can't go a day without this song!!!

  • Waooooo SUper Song i love

  • This music is beautiful but it is very sad to hear metaphors like "Shiite bomb." Can't there be music without a rapper bragging about being the shit?

  • @KinStrategy Well you sound like a fucking moron.

  • @ansomble28 Why do you disrespect me? You think I'm a "fucking moron" for saying the music is beautiful? Or is it because I don't like to hear metaphors linked to terrorism? Or is it the fact that I don't like it when rappers brag about being the shit? Or maybe all of the above? Did you finish reading this paragraph? Disrespect like that in real life warrants an eye for an eye.

  • @KinStrategy He didn't say anything about being "the shit" in this song. He said "I go off like a Shi-ite bomb" in response to being a slave to the financial masters. And you mad he made a metaphor about a "Shi-ite bomb"? Sheesh, the whole damn song is politically motivated, welcome to the lyrical stylings of Nasir Jones.

  • @ansomble28 I am familiar with Nas's music. I did not confuse "Shi-ite" with "shit." But you probably assumed that I am a "fucking moron" because I heard "shit" when he rapped "Shi-ite." My point stands: this is a beautiful song. I don't see how there is a correlation between the second biggest branch of Islam, bombs, and finance. Nas is clearly a problem that will shoot up your place with war paint on his face, and then he will blaze some haze. I am not a "fucking moron." Noneedforyourapproval.

  • @KinStrategy I didn't assume shit. And you didn't disprove the fact that you're a moron who thinks anything he said in this song has anything to do with him "being the shit". You in here interpreting his explosive reaction to being a slave to the masters as him exuding regular rap bravado. IE: You ain't listening.

  • @ansomble28 Yes, you are full of assumptions. And just like a disrespectful fool you continue to make them. What does bragging about how he can shoot up your place with war paint on his face and then smoke haze have to do with slavery. I am not a moron. I was listening to this song. You are the moron. You can take your assumptions about me and shove them up your ass.

  • @KinStrategy

He said I go off like a shite bomb. All yall see I'm on my warpaint on my face shit. my 9mm on my waist shit. I'm a problem shoot up your way shit. And when niggas in the hood light something up they get low and let the weed blow.

  • @KinStrategy

When did the man say he was the shit. Who said the Shites are terrorist. Us dropped bombs on civilizians and got blackwater out there wilding, that's terrorism. The Shites and the Sunni warriors are freedom fighters not terrorist.

  • @KinStrategy i think u should look to the bars he spit b4 he started rappin about the Shiite bomb...."the master, the masses, one has power the other one lacks it"...

then he spit "who are the masters? they are the gangsters, they are the bankers, the ones who tax us...the masses, they are us, the sheep, the people divided in classes"

then the shiite line came...he was using all those things as a metaphor to show the passion he (part of the masses) wud rebel against the master (oppressor) with..

  • @KinStrategy a shiite bomb fux the place up, wen a warrior paints his face it means he is going to war, wen a nigga is a problem an he is strapped wit a 9mm he wud shoot up your way...den get low and blow his haze...like a killer...they're jus metaphors...ure takin them literally

  • hahah that crying

  • "Despair, Desperation But I have no fear When I hold This Spear"..and the silence that follows, then the lion roar! just shows how RAW! the verse was!. :D. nas is the best lyricist ... weezy aint even close nas is clearly better and its sad how songs like this that carries meaninful message aint on chart and radio but lil waynes "right above it" is while all weezy was talkin about is "im in the building and u are on the list of guest names" and "we in the building you niggaz in apartments"

  • @aaliyubbello14 Man, I totally agree. I don't even like Lil wayne' as a rapper but everyone thinks he's the "best" when obviously he's not.

  • @aaliyubbello14 hm im not tryna disagree with yo. nas is better but songs like right above it are more popular because the mass appeal doesnt want to listen to deep lyrics.

  • @aaliyubbello14 not to disagree with you about weezy. but how can you compare the 2 rappers? they have very different styles Nas has always been more about whats going on and real with his rhymes, where Weezy has never actually had a style,

  • @aaliyubbello14 love from CAMEROON allday! "Real Warrior holdin' my spear right now"...

  • @MrDahkilla one LOOOOOOOVE!

  • @aaliyubbello14 Truth is and will always be better

  • @aaliyubbello14 I know , but you can't compare this to Lil Wayne , its a total different style . I got respect for both of em !

  • @aaliyubbello14

you should consider your arguements before you make them. it seems you have a general dislike for wayne, yet im not sure if its because you feel he is lyrically inferior or technically inferior. ive been rapping for a long time, and studying english comp/lit for even longer, and in my opinion lil wayne has a ton of skill.

nas started out on gangster style subject matter, as well as wayne. nas has been 'deep' longer but look where wayne grew up, and when, and with who.

  • @talcomx

he also kisses his "father" and made up a blood gang with baby called ymcmb...im sorry but the youth gettin mislead by wayne music. This some real shit right here.

  • @mrthe0 no doubt. but wayne is on this album in the song my generation and does a good job keeping in line with the albums theme. did i mention he is on this album? oh, and there are many a worse musician misleading the youth even further into darkness. wayne just gets hated on cuz he is everywhere... dont get me wrong, i hated wayne for a grip, but i think hes comin around

  • @talcomx No...... not really

  • @talcomx I mean I dont hate on dude, he does have talent. But i simply cannot support his music and the image he is portraying to the media. Okay hes from New Orleans thats a fucked up city but this man been signed since he was 12..whatever bullshit hes been through hes been compensated for it. About the bangin shit this nigga aint from Cali..thats where niggas are born into this shit and live it for life e.g. Snoop. This man is 28 or 29 tryna prove to people hes hard by bein a gang member.

  • @mrthe0 who said he was trying to portray himself as a die hard gangster. Like it would fucking matter anyway, the man is a beast musician. stop being fucking ignorant.

  • @bjhMus1C smfh..Your gonna tell me to stop being ignorant? Get the fuck outta here. Lls he's probably your hero, got his poster on top of your bed and shit. Im sorry to offend brother but I am not making shit up or hating just for the fuck of it. I commended him for his hustle and success, but im sorry the mans a bitch.

  • @mrthe0 lmfao, dumbest shit i ever heard. no, he's not my "hero". i don't fucking idolize anyone, i just happen to be a fan of his music.. but for you to act like you know his life and judge him for assumptions you are making is fucking ignorant. you can shake your fucking head all day, but if anyone's a bitch it's you.

  • @bjhMus1C SON stop with the bullshittin mane. I aint tryna act like i know anybody im simply stating whats true. Get that Stan mentality out of your head, your defending the nigga like he pays your bills or somethin. I wasnt even tryna go on you i just have a different opinion on this subject (one that is based around facts), now u gonna call me a bitch because i dissed your favorite rapper? Lol Keep that ole bullshit coming cuzzo!

  • @mrthe0 dude, if you're talking about lil wayne then we're on completely different pages. i thought you were dissin' nas, that's my bad. i totally agree though, lil wayne ain't worth shit.

  • @aaliyubbello14

    continued...

nas was born with hip hops 'silver spoon' in his mouth, so to speak.. time frame, area... i think lil wayne is coming around to being a true lyricist, losing his inherent cultural qualities, and becoming an unconstricted mc willing and desperate to cover that which matters most in his heart.

    hes young.

    p.s.

    haters hate.

  • Comment removed

  • @talcomx Wayne sold out on being real the moment professed to be a Blood Gang member. When Wayne first came out he was not a gang member and if you look at Waynes VH1 Behind the Music documentary nowhere is mentioned that Wayne or anyone affiliated with him was any gang member of any kind. Plus Wayne and "Baby" Bought their way into the gang. Not to mention Wayne lyrics are full glorifying money, material things, and women. Wayne can string words together pretty well but the content is lacking.

  • Nas please do not quit ok : ( keep doin wat you do best for the sake of music

Damian marley I didn't really know you, but I promise Imma chack out your stuff

  • who are the masters the banker she sayin something

  • that'S what i call music...

  • The Master of the Masses... One has power the other one lacks it.... Guns an Power controlled by assets.... Owned by financial forecasters.... Who are the Masters?? They are the Gangsters.... They are the Bankers... The one who tax us... The Masses they are US... The sheep.... The people divided in classes.... I swear I went mad after I hear that shit..... Battle between this an Patience of best song on the Album..... But the whole thing is pure Fire.....
