When the hell is AC/DC going to play the half time show. Their only one of the most famous, iconic, and best live bands in the history of music. Which most would think is more than justifiable to have them play in the super Bowl ...Right?. But alas were stuck with the Black Eyed Peas and Britney spears for the half time shows...... WTF!
They looked like they were all dressed as rubbers from the classic late John Ritter film Skin Deep. To be on a Super Bowl the artist has to have a myriad of songs out there like Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones and Aerosmith and others.
Best way to decribe the half time show, the scene where the smurfs did a shitty 3D musicvideo to Walk This Way by Run DMC and Aerosmith in the Smurfs movie. Anyone that has seen it will know. Kidz Bop is better than that

Everyone that thinks the half time show was good must have been watching it on an old 50's tv set, because the sound was horrible in HD. There was barely any volume on the mic's (maybe a good thing), Fergie was forcing her voice when Sweet Child of Mine is more suited for a higher pitched (feminine) voice. I don't hate the Pea's but I also really wasn't too crazy about last years half time show either

Hey i think the half time show was great i have been a fan of the black eyed peas since i was a toddler even more so red hot chili peppers ( my favorite ) and guns and roses since guitar hero legends of rock and usher hes a good dancer plus fergies mic wasnt working a few times and sadly the steelers lost and so did my poor eagles

we watched 4mins of it then my entire group of friends descided to eat at the dinner table and turn our backs to the big flatscreen TV of ours because the half time show was so dissapointing. the commercials was dissapointing also, but hey! the packers won!

I didn't watch it. I saw BEP go up and left. I'm not a big fan of them. Never was, I never understood the hype. I came back every now and then to see if it was over. When I heard Guns and Roses I ran back into the room, only to have my heart broken before sulking back out.

People are defending the Peas saying "Ohhh... everyone sounds like that when they're not in the studio..." ... Really? Because I've seen Daft Punk live... and guess what? They're still awesome live. They can sound the exact same as studio if they wanted to or can (and usually do) do something different and STILL have it be epic.
There's NO defending this halftime show, it was pathetic.

And then, coming up, was.....! Slash. Okay, I was like 12 years old when "Sweet Child O' Mine" was initially released back in the day when Axel F#@king Rose was the lead singer of Guns-n-Roses. They were also Dancing. 106,000,000 viewers plus 100,000 in the stadium. I was in the stadium and the crowd LOVED it. The NFL made a mighty fine choice picking The Black Eyed Peas. ZZ Top and THE WHO both played to pre-recorded tracks AND vocal. THAT's lame... especially for rock bands.

Sorry, they sang live the entire time. That's why it was a little rough. The auto-tune was intentional on Will because the song has that robot effect... super autotune.

Agreed. This was a LIVE performance. People are spoiled listening to perfectly edited studio tracks on the radio all day. Live performances are not perfect. Fergie sounded great anyway.

First of all, I thought sweet child o mine sucked too and that fergie sounded bad except for the beginning of the dirty bit song. Second, I didn't like the halftime show when I jwatched it live.but black eyed peas are my favorite band so I watched it again and it is actually good to me now. But yeah, fergie and singing live is a bad idea.haha

I was busy watching the kitty halftime show on animal planet! I did see the halftime show actually and nobody liked it and everyone thought it was terrible so we changed the channel to animal planet to watch the kitty halftime show and the puppy bowl.
