@any12u They are all different events, usually 3 different events per show. Say, one attempted murder by a person, a natural disaster and a freak accident. Something like an animal attack. Being adrift in the ocean alone. A plane crash.. They have never had 3 attempted murders on one. I think the only one where they had two attempted murders was where one was an attempted urder, the second was an attempted murder and THEN the girl was in the ocean alone for days, and the third was an earthquake.

Its not amazing any of these people survived, were conditioned through movies to believe one bullet or punch will kill or knock a person out, its obviously far from the truth, its surprisingly hard to kill someone.

I am constantly amazed at peoples' capacity for survival! I don't know if any of us can say 100% for sure how we'd react in such a situation,but I certainly take inspiration from these people.Many years ago,when I was a t college,a guy who 'had it in for me',for some reason,decided he was 'coming to get me'.He tracked me to my student digs & screamed thru the mail-box he had a shot-gun! I'm not ashamed to say I pissed myself.Turned out to be a 'false alarm'That was scarey enough! Kudos to her!

You'll know your capacity to survive when you are confronted with your mortality. I think any person that is confronted with these dire situations, discovers their capacity for survival. Most people, as evidenced by these stories, find that capacity is GREAT. There is a limit though. Only realized by the attacker. IOW, it's up to the attacker to end the life of the victim. If the attacker doesn't take it to the edge of mortality, the victim will find a way to survive.

These poor people. I watched an episode today where some guy chopped a girl's arm off, both arms. It was some old guy. When the girl was younger she ran away from home and then she wanted to go back home so she hitchhiked and some guy pulled up and she got in but he assulted her and cut both her arms off and she was on the show talking about it. She had prostetic arms. Her attacker was sentenced to only 6 years in prison. After he was released he killed another woman in florida.
