  • I've cut my strings

  • It's so true. Man walked on the moon and it was all downhill from thereon. We're fucked.

  • To me this means too much comfort and lack of awareness creates numb people. We may walk and talk but if we ain't in the present moment then we're in a story and may be not really living this precious life at all.

  • I'm not sure on my opinion of this but. This, is amazing...

  • @SlothmanJr It's just what we all feel bu there's no mention of it in the media because the media is controlled by thoughtless people.

  • this video makes me think of two animes

    Akira - more

    GITS - Ghost

  • WE ARE DEVO D:

  • I find this clip ironic, as they have this conversation over fine wine and food. Are we natural? No. Look around, everything you do, touch and say is unnatural, it is an abomination of nature. We are human, and everything is an extension of us. The average person does more today than the richest King could have done 100 years ago. So why get down on ourselves, we live more in 20 years than those before us lived in a lifetime, hell many people didn't live past 21 years. Get over it.

  • @mcg548 we have no control over lives thats the point!, we are human yes, but the way we live today removes us from that, it desentisizes us to actually perfoming natural humanness!

  • Thank you so much for posting this. It has changed me.

This feeling I have right now, so beautilful.....

  • Great short film it defiantly gets you thinking about life and how as human beings we seem to be losing our way..

  • Pretty Cool

  • The real truth about the future of the planet!

    WATCH PEUNOVA'S VIDEO "TROUGH APOCALYPSE"!!!

  • At first, I was laughed at the idea of Awakening. Awakening to what? And then I was critical of Awakening. What would it involve? And when I knew what it involved, I was afraid of Awakening. How can I live free of illusion? And then I Awakened.

And now, I cannot go back to sleep. I wish to let everyone know that they do not need to live as they have lived for so long- as I have lived. My family and friends think I am completely nutters, and yet I am only inspired to stay Awake.

    It's time.

  • @NatureGurl1990 Sometime you feel very lonely with this strange knowledge isn't?. But you know what, there is no reason to it, it's just a ride, and if you want to stay awake through it, great! But and those who aren't? It doesn't matter, it's just a ride, just God playing itself trough fancy forms. Some people might be interested in your way of living, and them you show them it's just a ride, but most of them are too deeply hypnotised to see that in this very ride. No problem! :P

  • is this a film? with that guy talking after the one on the news?

  • @webtexintotheblue Dinner With Andre

  • Who is the guy who is talking after bill hicks? I remember seeing that clip in Zeitgeist, and always wanted to know where it was from and who that guy was.

  • @aznjess Finch ? He won a posthumous oscar for his role in Network (1976).

  • @aznjess why thank ya

  • We are the creators, young gods, your view and thoughts about the world, create the world itself,i everyone to find love and light in every moment. Namaste!

  • This is great. Thanks for sharing this :)

  • We're all puppets, but some of us can see the strings.

  • @Olio89 ive got scissors in my back pocket Shhhh...

  • @Olio89 watchmen?

  • @Olio89 Thanks, Dr. Manhattan.

  • All I ever wanted WAS to be Human, and yet being "human" is an imaginatory hallographic illusion.

  • Absolutely brilliant video!!

  • LOVE "My Dinner With Andre"!

  • I've been learning about Buddhism, the past several week's and philosophy in general for the past month or so, and it's really changed my life, and then I see 'Community's' latest episode made reference to this movie, and just seemed really interesting, then I find this clip, and it's just incredible watching someone who "get's it." Understands why the way we're living is so shit, and pointless.

  • @Hellstrike If you're interested man, I've been studying some buddhism, philosophy, psychedelics and my favourite Quantum Physics. Quantum Physics is bringing spirit and science together. It has put me on the path of intellectual and spiritual enlightenment, as difficult as it is sometimes i love every moment of it. There is a movie on here called "what the bleep do we know?" I highly recommend you watch it, It has totally changed my life and given me purpose. Its all about QP and the like.

  • @bloodofhate Hey, if you want to go even further to copmleting the picture, check out a documentary called "The Secret Life of Chaos" by BBC, it's about Chaos Theory. Quite mind blowing really.

  • People have a tendency to romanticize things that we're not privy to in our every day life and to trivialize that which we are surrounded by. EX: If there was only one place you could see space from, as opposed to anyone anywhere just looking up at night, that would have more spiritual meaning than any other place on Earth. I was a bit annoyed by Andre's hippie ramblings about how things were better a long time ago and spiritualists have the right idea. I was more in line with Wally's thinking.

  • where do i get the whole thing?????

  • we are all hypocrites, for saying we believe in what that are talking about the simple fact that we are all on the internet.

  • @dav511

Whats wrong with the internet?? Its connected people all over the world like never before. Not to mention endless amounts of instant information that was never available to people b4. Television-=BAD Internet=Good

  • superb. i havnt seen this for 25 years. great to see it again. i used one of that man's speeches in a chemtrail video i made. have a look. thanks for posting this

  • it only takes one candle to light up an entire room

  • @happysplinters

    I dont like that oneliner.

  • I love the dialogue in this vid and I also loved reading the comments. It feels comforting to know that there are so many of you out there, like me, who realize there is more to life...I salute you all in your individual search for meaning and truth which will elevate us all collectively. Love

  • "We're bored. We're all bored now. But has it ever occurred to you, Wally, that the process that creates this boredom that we see in the world now, may very well be a self perpetuating, unconscious form of brainwashing created by a world totalitarian government based on money and that all of this is much more dangerous than one thinks, and its not just a question of individual survival, Wally, but that somebody who's bored is asleep, and somebody who's asleep will not say no?"

  • The blanket example is good, but we should all be careful not to rest on the plateau of just a few examples, and instead be in the mindset to continue further down our tower of luxury. To say anything of the taken-for-granted-sort demands acknowledgment of our comfortable lives which allow time to think. Not being in poverty. Having clothes, food, technology, warm shelter, cushions to sit on, bathrooms, running water, soap, cut hair, language, etc. The millions of things we take for granted.

  • Wonderful dialogue!!!! So true!!! This is exactly what I believe in! I refuse to turn into the zombie this sick society expects me to become! No matter if my family and friends are against it! Once the truth awakes, there is no going back to sleep!!! LOVE IS ALL WE NEED!!!!

  • where is the clip at 0:45 from

  • @whitewalls1222 Dinner With Andre

  • what is the name of that movie, please ?

  • I am human, I am fighting to save my species, I value my soul above all except the Creator of my soul. Nothing they can say or do will break me, They can take my life but not my beliefs. I awoke 2 years ago, I stopped watching TV, I began to appreciate the small things, Ive never worshipped material, I never will. I am TOUGH, I AM STRONG, JOIN ME BEFORE ITS TOO LATE. Making the right choice is always hard, so stop living so Gosh darn easy people. YOU OWE IT TO YOU :)

  • @thomasmoonman Great going man! All we need is LOVE!! We need to wake up!

  • @thomasmoonman So you're about 18 and it's two years after your first acid tab .... wait til you have kids.

  • please what is the movie that comes on at 0:12 please tell me im dying to know !! OMG IM ACTUALLY DYING AHHHHHHHHHH!@!!!!

  • @BasicGrace Network.

  • these films are a couple of my absolute all time favorites. they were so prophetic.

  • Thank u 'ibilly.' That was beautiful. Have you read or seen "Jesus' Son"? It's a reference to a Lou Reed song, I think. Beautiful piece of work.

  • ey whats the name of this movie on 5:30 on tha video

  • Most people, even closest friends and family seem asleep and numb to me, to reality and to full conciousness. Activists, artists and teachers...all asleep. I daily challenge the theory of this topic to them and/or to strangers...almost all turn a blind eye and continue to live in what they THINK is their own heads. Learn to be & think for yourself, escape the madness..all forms of societies peer pressure...don't be attached to your life, partner, job or lifestyle.. WAKE UP. Live.

  • Electric Blankets are death!

  • The clock in the background is set on 4:20

  • Are we human, or are we dancer?

  • @Vonunov we are dancer

  • @Vonunov It's denser.

  • @Vonunov well i thought we are sort of a lemon jelly

  • I'm tired of crying about the "elites".. and then going right back to work in a drone regime that benefits solely big business executives.. The older I get the more I look around and notice the repetitive evil of which, I'm on lunch break and gotta get back to my deliveries.. for now. I never stop thinking of how much better it could be for us all...

  • great video!

  • Imagine if Bill Hicks went insane, and made people leave their robotic lives in order to experience a full consciousness, using extreme methods. He might go on a crime streak: robbing banks, blowing up buildings, kidnapping politicians, and working with the mob. He would be no ordinary villain though, because he would want to impact a huge surprise on people in order to truly lure them from boredom. He might wear a costume like a clown and give himself a anonymous identity like "The Joker." .

  • @N8zerDude I noticed a sort-of Bill Hicks swagger in some of the characteristics of Heath's portrayal of the Joker... worked well too.

  • @testostrogenitalz yeah, it's amazing. Heath not only imitated Bill's speech phrasing and body gestures but also portrayed Bill's thoughts and beliefs in the character. Why so serious? Why so solemn, apathetic, and strict about life? Let's put a smile on that face and bring a little unexpected surprise in that mindless routine of yours.

  • The problem is MK-Ultra

  • i haven't watched this yet, but i want to leave a marke so i can get back to it while my wife borrows the computer

  • Wow, this looks like a captivating and fascinating film. Thanks for posting this, I'm definitely gonna have to get this movie. Liking the Kerouac reference, I'm reading On The Road atm.

  • thanks 4 putting this together, fuckin fantastic

  • i cant believe i stumbled upon this! can sombodey please tell me what film this is?

  • Media is the knew religion, out to close minds and alienate people from themselves

  • I'm only 17 and I already feel like I haven't been human/living for quite a long time. This was made in the '80s, right? Before internet? And cell phones? The societal problems mentioned in this video have gotten so much more extreme.

Usually I'm annoyed when people write or talk the way I am now because it seems so trite. "Oh, society. Oh, people." But it's true. [cont...]

  • @lanegwyn Of course there are still people who are very much alive and vital, but... I'm not. And I can't help but think that being raised on sitcoms and bad, popular movies had a lot to do with it. And I still watch television constantly, when I'm not mindlessly online. I think TV is pointless and the internet should be used sparingly, but I spend the great majority of my time involved with one or both of them anyway. My attention span is shot, and I can't think very well. So I do it more.

  • Brilliant..

The title is very misleading though due to the fact you only see Bill Hicks for 9 seconds in a 10 minute long video???

Dont know what the hells up with that but brilliant non-the-less.

  • Beautiful. Thank you.

  • Dude, thank you so much for putting this up! I've never heard of this film before, but I'll be sure to look for the whole thing.

  • great job

  • rLOVEution

  • rLOVEution

  • Please answer me people: DO YOU THINK ANDRE IS RIGHT ABOUT THE LAST BURST WHICH HAPPENED IN THE 60'S? AND THAT PEOPLE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME (SORT OF SPEAK)?? DIDNT THE INTERNET HAD AN ERA OR A GOLDEN AGE WHEN THINGS WERE LIKE THE 60'S?

  • @ALEXTASY123

From my perspective I see him explaining how the explosion of psychedelic drug us in the 60's caused people on a mass scale to question their reality around them. After this explosion either a person will accept to live in ignorance and look no further than what their told. Afterward s; truth will be as apparent to people merely using the internet and looking for more to this world as it was with the 60's. Just my thoughts. Peace & Love.

  • what movie is this

    where did this come from?

how old is this? i need this movie

  • The Network (1976)

  • @firefei87 Mostly My Dinner with Andre from '81. Pretty much all of the film is that dining table talking, it's genius.

  • I dispair for humanity. When people want jedward, hannah montana etc you know your species is dying.

  • thank you!!!

  • 16:15 so true

  • 5 *'s for any video that gets people to think outside the box

  • very very awesome...thank you.

  • Bravo!!!!

  • torah gives you the meaning to life.

    not religion, nor sciense.

  • fuckin jew

  • thanks =)

  • This is beauty.

  • hi dear friends, im writing from chile, im totally agree with this video and so on, but... also i got the feeling that we are loosing, and it looks like we are going to loose, i mean, see this video view's (8.000 aprox) or watch "chaplin dictator scene" with just 300.000 views, now see hannah montanna or 50 cent shit, and so, millions and millions views... yes, the world is getting stupid, and according to darwins theory, looks like intelligence is not totaly necesarry these days to survive.

  • tienes toda la razon!! y todos me creen loco por pensar de esta manera!!

  • @lepulent

Thanks for the comment.. I do believe people start to enter a solid state of awakening, and that the number of them increase too.

Is it possible that somehow we aren't moving forward as a species due to these strange times? We have gone through several significant revolutions and now we live in the middle of the Infromation Revolution (Internet and cetera).

Are we in a position now that something DAMN HUGE must happen in order to achieve a global awakening?

  • @lepulent just because they're breathing doesn't mean they are surviving. If you live in America, you should move to a country that is developing, because America is about to become the first post-developed country. It will collapse in the near future.

  • @lepulent - You must see that most all people have become fat and satisfied with their somewhat obscure existance. Television, Internet, Radio, Cell Phone, MP3 Players, and so on.

If you took away all the electronics and technology I see us being a much kinder, sympathetic, intelligent, and compassionate culture. But I dont see that happening in our generations time so just take mushrooms, make peace with your world and smile

  • @lepulent, People are attracted to 50 cent and Hannah Montanna and such, not because their stupid, but for 2 varying reason. 1. They see the world as it is and are trying to run from it. or 2. Are ignorant of how the world is. Both of which, you can not blame them much for. What they need is not ridicule, but an assisting hand. When there is a will, then there is a way. We will not 'lose' if we strive to win, believe we can win and put our energy into winning. If we all do our part, we will win.

  • @lepulent Might I remind you that, often times the few lead the many, for better or for worse.

  • @lepulent It might be. To me, this video as well as the chaplin dictator scene are the most important videos on youtube

  • @Pejorativez Just watched that last night and I agree.

  • @lepulent Beautifully said and I agree that it feels like we are losing, like things have gone horribly wrong and the corruption at the top all around the world is leading us all down a dark path but I also hope that things will go so very wrong that a revolution will ensue and those of us who make it to the other side will see the dawn of a new and much better world. So keep your family and friends close because community will be your lifeboat to survive the transition. Plant a hemp farm.

  • @lepulent this is darwins theory in action the sleepers will never evolve.

  • @lepulent The world isn't getting stupider.

  • @Neonman78 your use of the word stupider should be proof on the current status of world intelligence

  • @MrTeddy236 Oh no, I made up a word, how stupid of me. Because of this act, the whole world must be really stupid, almost stupider than me.

  • @Neonman78 yep basically

  • @lepulent in our artificially constructed enviroment that is true. we dont need intelligent people to do menial tasks in society BUT one day. one wonderful day. we humans will be free again and nature`s evolutionary paradigmes will be reinstated. Be a free human :) peace

  • @lepulent

    -

"looks like intelligence is not totaly necesarry these days to survive"

    -

It isn't. During a heart attack your body will fry your brain so that your heart lives as all blood is pooled to the chest. You can be alive with a dumb brain, but you cannot be alive without a functioning heart.

  • Awesome vid man. It's refreshing to see that there are smart people with good taste spreading some intelligence via YouTube.

  • Man people need to just realize that we are all one and we all come from a womb and live and die, We need to get rid of all the instituions and religions and actually live, Start using resources that aren't as expendable like: solar, thermal, wind, and even water. Boycott the large companies with alot of money that want to keep things the same. Change needs to happen. History shows there will forever be change and these current institutions keep us in the same ideals as from the 1800s. Evolve!

  • I totally agree. Brilliantly said!

  • thanks for sharing this dude

  • Very well put

  • There's nothing wrong in being cognitively gifted to understand the interconnectedness and interrelationship of things.

Some people become enlightened at a very young aged.

Look for friends with bigger minds!

Because the rest of the world is dragging it's feet and you're not is their problem.

    You see, they don't.

  • in shorter words we've been lied to and treated like sheep all our lives. and the sheep are always lead to the slaughter house eventually. this is only a quarter of reality we has more to explore as a human race. were not spiritualy advanced yet to take on those challenges. thxs to satan and his followers.

  • i usually spark up before getting philosophical

  • ibilly99, thank you. This shit made me cry.

  • Smoke some weed and re-investigate your world, inner and outer.

  • Research the NWO. There are powerful people in control of the world, and they are poisoning and attempting to control the minds of the rest of us to ensure their position.

  • Beautifully thought-provoking. Shall we live for the moment, or be safe and comfortable in a fantasy world of our own creation? All we are achieving in life at the moment is maintaining this fantasy, that we are different, special, safe and above all the belief that we believe we are happy.

  • Capitalism, is a sort of "non-violent means of competition." You have most people who are out for nothing but their own self-interests and monetary/material gain. Social Darwinism basically allows humans to resort to their most primative instinct of competition of resources (food, shelter, water, and all the other "wants" that society tells them they need. Capitalism allows people to resort to their most ancient savage survival instincts -without the violence - now crime, is another story. .

  • If you think that capitalism doesn't require violence and physical coercion, you're fucking crazy.

  • Name one system of human life that somehow eliminates innate human emotions and actions and I will show you a totalitarian state of hell.

Would you rather the violence be perpetrated on the people who commit crimes or the people who dare to think differently and try to live their life as they see fit?

  • You're using circular logic.

    Collectivism.

I would RATHER violence not be used on anyone but there are situations where violence is necessary.

  • Comment removed

  • We need to find the meaning of life. It is our most valuable treasure. If we lose it, we become nothing more than automatons made up of carbon.

  • I know the meaning of life, but most people dont. 1.) To spread love and happiness to each other in order to evolve toward a utopian society. Everyone is trying to find the meaning of "their" life - they are looking at it wrong. What is the meaning of humanity - humans as a collective whole?

Nature's meaning for us (which IS the real truth) is for us to evolve and adapt as a species just like every other species. THAT is the absolute truth. Unfortunately, society is on a path to perish.

  • Nice work!

  • That dialog was quite heavy...

  • that was awsome ibilly99, thanks for that , muche gracis

  • There is no edit - because he grows up and you're alone again ....I think ?

  • I have to see that movie Dinner with Andre. Thanks for posting. My problem in life is actually just that I never live mechanically. The fact that I am hardly in a dream world would explain my self-loathing......but still life carries on.

  • This is deep but at the same time common sense

  • Andre was married to Candice Bergen until his death in '98 (pancreatic cancer)

  • well lets hope enough people realize that before WW3

  • "Thanks a million!"

    A million bits of love.

Love is what we're about and even 'race' is just an illusion created to keep us with the misconception that we're different. We're not; where it really counts!

  • I am going to order this movie.... But its funny I always had this thought about dark sun glasses and skin cancer.... because your brain think the sun isn't out when it really is..... we are still learning about our bodies and how they work.. who knows..

  • Best 10 minutes I spent on youtube. Thanks ibilly for your efforts.

  • this a movie?? need 2 no. it's beyond words, a marvalous work of philosophy

  • The first clip is from standup comedian Bill Hicks, the 2nd clip is from a movie called "Network", finally, the last one that lasts until the end is from the movie "My dinner with Andre"

  • Thanks a lot for this!

  • I've acted the life of a server... and i am finally sick of it... so today is my last day at work...

  • Good luck - you only have one life so live it.Hope it all works out.

  • i believe yes we do have one life but i think we all have the opportunity to go back and change things in the past to make for a better future. Kind of like "a christmas story" with the 3 ghosts.... I think thats a real concept in some way.

  • @ibilly99 how can you post a video with bill hicks in it and claim that you only have one life? just a question.

  • @ibilly99 It is. Thank you.

  • I am fu'in' si' of it - I am FU'IN si' of it..

  • @Shroctopus can i use that as a lyrics in a song?

  • Great thoughts for Christmas Eve Mark. Thanks for stopping bye.

  • One of the problems with the world today: The people. I couldn't have a deep conversation like this one with any of my so-called "friends" because they'd think I was crazy. I think Christianity has put a damper on philosophical thinking. Asking why, how, what, when, who, and analyzing and questioning life - most Christians just answer with "because god . . ." I believe man-made religion puts people in a catatonic state of mind. Religion attempts to separate man from nature - a HUGE mistake.

  • What i really dislike is, my friends don't have thoughts for their own.

  • Exactly. The world needs more philosophical thinking than before. Modern ideologies, especially Catholicism and Materialism, tries to rip man, body and soul, away from the cosmos. However we are and will always remain connected with the cosmos, because we perceive and put order on the cosmos, therefore it is dependent on us. Everybody think I am crazy because I think like this.

  • Mankind broke nature's most universal fundemental law of "natural selection." Humans must get back in balance with nature or risk losing everything (including our home - Earth). Problems that stand in the way include Religion, lack of education, conflicting interest in countries, war, dependency on a growing economy, greed, finite resources. Humanity must realize, before it is too late, that nature is all we have, all we are, and all that will ever be.

  • I think your misguided, only halfway though which is one half better then most people.

We didn't "break" any fundamental law, that would be impossible. We have overcome about 90-99% of the natural selection we used to be subjected to, but air pollution and infant mortality among other things are still improving our genetics.

I agree with all the problems facing mankind that you stated, but I think you need to learn some scientific philosophy, namely existentialism and materialism.

  • 2. Materialism shows us that what you call "nature" is actually the entire universe. We arose out of what is normally referred to as nature, here on earth but this nature is just a temporary pool in the vast universe. It is the spawning ground of the next step in our species, colonizing other planets in distant solar systems.

(which may have already been made in secret)

The earth is only a temporary thing, cosmology has shown that everything lives and dies, except information, our creation.

  • @mycatisromeo go to abovetopsecretdotcom and read the thread- "all roads lead to rome" making sure you read the other 2 threads that are linked. 1 about skull and bones 322 and 1 about banks and the tax return date!

  • @mycatisromeo, I'm not Christian myself, however I would have to say in general that Christianity in and of itself doesn't put a damper on philosophical thinking. Why do I say this? Because when people with a little bit of brain and curiosity read the Bible and realize what the statements mean philosophically, not just literally, then it's very strong philosophical wise. Christianity gives simple answers, but their things which can be deeply analyzed. People have just been trained not to do so.
