ok is your iphone working now or not?? coz if not I have a full developers account and I can add up to 100 devices on my developers account so if you want just send your UDID 40 hex code then i can add it to my account and you'll be able to update to 3.0 beta or beta 2.0 without the risk of bricking your iphone, and no worries this is free, I mean i already paid for the account so i might as well help others. once I add the UDID code you can update safely without having to off your internet.

I think i kinda found the way coz the same happened to me. you'll have to restore and do the update all over again but this time make sure you have your iphone carrier sim card in the iphone while doing so and then just set it up as new iphone device and then you can restore from back up later on, I hope this helps.

downgrade to 2.21, and then upgrade to beta2 on another machine(if you dont have one just make another account or use another account on your computer) install quickpwn and then jailbreak

Insted of Disconnecting from the internet you can just click the "X" in iTunes when it says "Connecting To iTunes Store.
