Why does this conversation have to be about race? Stanton Moore is an awesome New Orleans drummer, which also means he can play funk, second-line, and a variety of related rhythmic styles. The color of his skin is irrelevant -- and that can be said of any great New Orleans drummer, of which there are many.

Yes, discrimination happens. Yes, there is racism in the music biz, as there is anywhere in American society. Nevertheless, this video is of Stanton Moore, who is an outstanding funk and New Orleans drummer, period. It is not about race, or racism, or discrimination in the music business.
