i don't know if vanishing point is on here because iv never seen it for a reason, in vanishing point they had to speed the film up because the challenger was so slow, they did that with bullit too, but with vanishing point the sound was also cut a dubbed from bullit because the challenger didn't make as good noise.

We humans are nucking futs - and we call ourselves 'civilized'. I confess that I like watching car chases and crashes - but that there is something sick about that. Notice that they never show the kids who lost their parents - or the surgeries and physical therapy - complete with paralysis, burns, and loss of limbs, etc. Martin Scorsese made a similar observation. We are so damn concerned about terrorism - yet we educate ourselves with senseless violence on TV and the Silver Screen. Shame.

Best chase scene ever is the one from "Bullitt." No over-the-top graphics or imaging -- simply cameras in each car, some music and, most importantly, the sounds of the engines. Nothing better. Bullitt is simple and to the point. "Bullitt" makes "Gone in Sixty Seconds" look like a cartoon.

That is the best music to add quality to a chase. The chase in the third Bourne movie, lacked this theme, and I did not like it as much as those of the two previous films' in trilogy. What was the Nicholas Cage film? Don't know how Capt. Howard in Bad Boys 2 could say "No cops died" with speedboat and car collisions! Great editing here. Good job.
