  • I have so many Christian friends right now who are dating non-Christians. This deeply saddens me because how can you love God and seek to love someone who doesn't? But I once dated a non-Christian so I know the tug on one's heart. But doesn't Psalm1,James4&other verses show that even our friendships should encourage us to love Jesus? Shouldn't our closest relationships encourage us to love Jesus first? So, how can we even consider being close to a non-Christian, in dating or friendship?

  • I think the challenge Christian women face in NJ NYC is that it is the most secular part of the country. There are only a handful of single men in their 40's and 50's without children who go to church. Thats why my friends and I are all single

  • Wow! I really like this one. I've been so curious about dating a girl who isn't Christian and here's a great way of knowing if its wrong or not.

  • Excellent analogy Tim....So so true brother! God bless your Christ centered ministry

  • Can't we just build a big asylum for people like this. Maybe re-education camps.

  • @Mirewood Really I haven't when I found no foundation in shinto, and complete hypocrisy in Hinduism where you can believe in whatever you want, and in Judaism where you can claim it withour even believing in God at all... REALLY??? I've clearly found fault in all of them, with these as examples to them. You'r ebeing ignorant and not facing these true facts of no reason to believe in them.

  • @Mirewood How am I an idot or a liar when I have shown fault based of true facts from each of their beliefs? I can't be one when I've used each of theirs, and NOTHING does anything but give me lies.

  • @Mirewood i have to believe in those things really? Because none of that does anything for me either.

  • @Mirewood I wasn't there when Jesus came back from the dead, but I've felt His presence after one significant moment in my life that I literally can not ever deny, and that enough gave me all i needed to believe and have faith.

  • @Mirewood in terms of salvation, really where at? Where do they get it from, who saved them? Who gives them grace? Because Jesus did it, and if Jesus didn't do it for them then nah it's not the very similar at all.

  • @Mirewood I'm not holding a double standard, I'm simply finding fault in every single other belief. It does nothing for anyone except bare lies, and does not save me from anything. It does not solve people's own temptations, thoughts, past hurt, finding worht in that you wee created by a wonderful maker in His image. These others don't do a damn thing.

  • @Mirewood Okay but where did anyone claim to see buddha anywhere in a better place then heaven, huh? No one.

  • @Mirewood You can't stop sin, you can't make up for your own mistakes. SO again these offer nothing.

  • @Mirewood Shedding your impurities, even though it is not possible to be sinless... i don't see where you see logic in that. We are NEVER sinless.

  • @Mirewood but having nothing FOR sin, typo. Sikh is not very similar to christianity, because christianity is a relationship with Christ, the living God who saved us from our own sinful ways. And it's no where but through Christ do we get saved.

  • @Mirewood The fact is, you will never not sin, so where's the solution in that Daoism, you have none.

  • @Mirewood places besides the bible who talk about Him, infact there is more documention on Him than any other well-known person of his time! I think it's clear that Jesus Christ has a true foundation in Christianity, and the truth is found here.

  • @Mirewood Really uh how can you claim wherever Buddha went was better when you have no idea where he went, you weren't and aren;t there, you didn't follow him to his destination. Did Buddha come back to earth to tell everyone ebout where he was sent, what on earth are people even thinking? Buddha did not come back, no one claimed he did. So where's that basis? Where do you get those assumptions. It's false. There are witnesses of Jesus coming back though, there are written documention in many

  • @Mirewood Christianity a jump from Judaism, really when the Bible came from the very day that Jesus taught the truth. Judaism is the view of God from people who had never sene God. Jesus was a Jewish rabbi, but He was the Messiah, the living God who came down to earth to take human form. And traces of Him are talked about in many religions that can be traced back close enough to His time.

  • @Mirewood me? Sikh- believing in One Supreme God, but having nothing of sin and all of the things that we are fenslaved to, what do this do for me?... Again, like I said, none have any substance and purity.

  • @Mirewood whether he adheres to a complete system of beliefs about God and the afterlife, holds only a few simple beliefs that give meaning to ritual, or even (at least in liberal Judaism) does not believe in God at all. Daoism- taoism folowing observing the flow of natural events to life.. what does this give you.. Shinto- first off they claim no founder, where's the basis in that? and worshiping things and objects all around us that have spirits ( i wont worship a rock, what does that do for

  • @Mirewood that lead to true happiness. ( yet it does not lead to true happiness.. infact it uses other religions and philosiphies combined and was made up by a man who realized wealth and luxury did not guarentee true happiness, anyone can do that.) Judaism- though they believe there is only one God, the afterlife is varied (reincarnation, even nonexistence) and the core of their believe comes from a rabbi who put together "13 articles of faith".. In general, a person can be considered "Jewish"

  • @Mirewood I already described how I don't have a expeierence from a the wrong God. Explain how any of those religions have any substance or purity, you have not, and I can find anything easily in each of them to show this. THey offer nothing that can set your sinful self free. Hinduisim- consists of many religions that represent one God and whatever you want to believe in is right (wrong). Buddhism- Buddha who combined different religions to make his own understanding and cod of a way to live

  • @Mirewood I think people confuse their experiences of God with false Gods. If you were to study these different religions you would see they have no substance, no purity, and have nothing to offer you. None ever set a soul free, free from all they've done, free from hurt. Not one does this for you. That's how you can eliminate the others with reason.

  • @Mirewood

    I understand. Thanks

  • @Mirewood

I understand. But I think he heard me when I told him in front of her that she told me the relationship was not serious....he paused.. and I directed my comment towards her & she said nothing. I am sure that plays on his heart. I do feel that I may not have anything to worry about. God will bring the right girl into my son's life. As a mother, I do know that she is not the right one. So, I am sure he will be fine. It is just a matter of time before she cheats on him.

  • @Mirewood

I did tell him in private he should considered her going to go to the bars perhaps she may have an alcoholic issue, and it would be wise to test that aspect of the relationship. I have always told him the facts and consequences of unprotected sex. He is well educated in that! Very educated. I even went to the extent of having him be aware that even though she said the relationship was not serious-she would try to get pregnant out of spite.

  • @Mirewood

Well, he is far from being like a rabbit. And I he always had time out with his friends all through high school. It is just this one isolated situation. I know I cannot control the situation, but God can.

  • @Mirewood

I understand. I have talked to him since. I see this as a sign that God does have His hand on the situation. All I can do is pray, and support my son, but still take a stand against the other party getting drunk and hanging in bars. I told my son in front of her, that she is not the one for him, and I think he knows that. I let them both know that I did not approve of the relationship on those terms, and that I wanted the best for my son, so at least he did hear me express that.

  • @Mirewood

I do understand that people make their own choices, and I do understand to be there when he makes mistakes. I just feel that it is not a relationship put together by God. That being said, sounds like my son is not walking in all the light. Perhaps he is not, so then my prayers maybe ought to change.

  • @Mirewood

Yes, dating a non-Christian is addressed as not walking in the light, as the scriptures says....God hates sin, and that light should not have anything to do with darkness. So, this is why I feel that it is an issue.

  • @Mirewood

See, God has granted me so much in the past few weeks, He has literally answered my prayers...1. a job 2. to stand up for my faith in Jesus Christ 3. my whole financial situation is turning around-not because of politics either, but because of God.

I do appreciate any guidance you have for me. Please continue to lead me, when you can.

I am just not comfortable with the "letting him make mistakes"...I am a retired police officer, (mother) my instincts are to react and preserve

  • @Mirewood

So, my son has only talked to me 1 time since then, and I am sure this girl is the cause of the disconnect between me and my son. As a matter of fact, I have rebuked satan for the interference in my son's life, and JI have asked God to remove her from his life. Now, as a mother my prayers are very serious with God.

I feel that my son is comfortable in the relationship, and I have also asked God to get him up and moving away from the relationship as well.

  • @Mirewood

Make a mistake that would possibly cost them their souls? See, I believe in intervention when needed, but first prevention by Godly parenting skills. My son is a Christian, but the girl is dragging him down! I did confront her with her alcoholic situation and being in bars and driving under the influence and etc.... and my son was furious for me doing that..but I also advised him right in front of her that she told me their relationship was not serious...now we all three debated.

  • "That number is from poll you can look up anywhere stating 90% of America believes in God"

In the comment I replied to you said: "90% of the WORLD believe the bibe has truth".

You didn't say anything about America or god. Settle down...I wasn't assuming anything. That's why I asked you what you meant.

Now you've gone from the WORLD believing the bible has some truth, to AMERICA believing in god.

Do you even know what you're talking about?

  • My son is involved with a non christian girl, she goes to bars and gets drunk, and i know deep down he does not want a relationship like this. what do i do as a mother. i have expressed to him my disapproval of the relationship. i am concerned for him as a mother.

  • @whitesoxfanforsure Pray, love him and gently but clearly express your concern. It must be done in a way that he clearly recognizes that you desire the best for him and cannnot be misconstrued as an attempt to control him. Don't worry or fear, just cast it upon God.

  • @whitesoxfanforsure Pray for him, but don't try to dictate to him, or he will likely become distant with you and resent you. Intercede for him with confidence, knowing that prayer has impact and God is bigger than that situation.

  • @LostHemingway

Oh my!! I am so glad that you got back with me. You have given me the real answer. In the meantime, yes I have giving this situation to God. Things are getting better, although he still will not talk to me. I know my son loves the Lord, and I know he will make the right choice, and as a mother I will not dictate, but I know in my heart God has not brought the right lady into his life. Mother's know these things. Thank you so much.

  • 1:40 Bull. Someone obviously has been consuming too much communion wine and reading their bible a little too much.

  • @MrNintoku you can never read the bible too much.

  • @nessabr00ke

Sure you can. If thats the only thing you read then you'll believe it even if its wrong.

  • @MrNintoku You're such a fool, how is that even logically possible? Obviuosly a human reads more than the bible.. I wish that's all i read, i'd be more wiser and smarter... I mean clearly i read your comment, and if you want to make this conversation as literal as you don't taek the bible. There's a lot of things people read, and yet out of ALL the things they read, 90% of the world believe the bibe has truth. Not all believe the bible IS truth, but has truth. Christians believe it IS truth.

  • @nessabr00ke "90% of the world believe the bibe has truth"

Where did you get that number from? If you're saying that 90% of people in the world are christian, you're wrong. It's about 33%.

Did you just mean that 90% of people in the world think that some things (i.e. historical data, places mentioned etc) have truth to them?

Where did you get that statistic from?

  • @Zentz29 That number is from poll you can look up anywhere stating 90% of America believes in God, and that's when I say they believe the bible "has" truth since these people have different religions so they believe in God in a different way and book using some parts of the bible. or using the bible but leaving parts out. I never said %90 of America are Christians, not once so stop assuming. And look up the polls and statistics anywhere online.

  • @MrNintoku It's evident God moves through people, otherwise why would people talk about these experiences theyve had. It's be wise of you to take notice and start soul searching. I hope one day you learn the truth. God bless and stop talking to me because I'm not going to try and convince you anything.

  • @nessabr00ke
