@jibikao Yeah this is true, and the graphics are WAY out dated. It looks uncannily like a game called League of Legends if anyone has heard of it (and you SHOULD of :-). Grim Dawn look far more like a game that i would want to play if i was looking for a Diablo 3 clone (which i am of course). To be honest it almost looks like a heavily anti-aliased diablo 2, with some bloom stuck on top of it.

@epictwiglet I understand what you're getting at, but you can't really compare game graphics/game play to cars. Some people drive cars for looks, others to race. Both ways are acceptable. But who gets a crappy game (ahem, Crysis 1) for looks only? Both are important, but game play is way more important. I never said you can't like or dislike a game's graphics any way. I said basing a game on graphics is weak. "Don't judge a book by its cover." - Whoever the hell said that.
I guess it's all about spending less money for more colorful kiddy graphs and also about choosing the team that made dia 1 and 2, not to choose a side that is actualy trying to bring some new ideas into this genre, like the abscence of a skill tree and getting rid of most of those look-at-me-I'm-the-immortal-potion-spammer killer!

Real life money auction house, always-online DRM, elimination for a skill tree, etc etc. Some of them I agree with, some of them I don't, but bottomline people aren't happy with these. That, and you do know that the REAL developers for the old diablo IS the torchlight team? diablo 3 only bears the blizzard label now, while TL2 will be made by old diablo developing team

@puffy0530 TL2 will = HG:L and Diablo 2 crossover. HGL wasn't a great game because it wasn't well polished. it had some excellent ideas buried under its layer of dirt. If you didnt notice, the attractive elements about TL were also in HGL. nice gear drop, item enchanting with gems, random item enchanting, the random draw effect from the identify scrolls(although we can do without that). HGL didnt perform well just cuz it got rushed out to market, really

You're soooooooo right, I'm not going to buy one of the biggest games that will come out this year/next year because they added a $ value to gold, made it so people in 3rd world countries can't play Diablo, and don't add a bunch of PvP modes in a PvE game (already said they are adding more).

Recommendation for every sane person: Don't buy Diablocraft3. Spend the money you would have spent on buying it to buy multiple copies of Torchlight 2 and gift the spare ones to the people you know who would like the game but never knew about it.
Doing that, you would do a gaming industry a huge favor.

@AlynatrillGaming for one, there will be PVP. As much skill based as diablo can be its still heavily reliant on gears. Therefore those with most money will pretty much make the PVP system imbalanced.
Also ebay charges because they serve as a "medium" they protect the transaction and insure you that if anything wrong happens you're going to be covered.
And diablo lived for a very long time because of the Mod support. There is no modsupport on diablo 3. Torchlight 2 does.

As much as I liked the first Torchlight, T2 is not Diablo and doesnt look like it will be.
I never bought any virtual items in any game, and I will not start doing so in D3. I also do not care about PvP in D3, I got FPS games that take care of that itch (quake live, wolf et). Blizzard has yet to disappoint me and I will trust them until they do. Real money cash shops, I dont give a damn about, wont spoil my D3.

Blizzard is one of the very few companies NOT charging for DLC (that's what a patch is in WoW) and not using cash currency in some way in game. Everything is moving this direction - why fight it? Its very clear you do not HAVE to use the cash currency element of the AH in D3 and there will be a lot of people who don't.
@Kelann08 I won't be able to play D3 casually if I know I'm sitting on money. Shall I break down my legendary super-axe for rare components, or sell it and make $10? How the game sucks because of the auction house when they can simply not use it. I guess most people just wanted diablo II with new maps, another diablo clone. We have to stop forgetting that diablo 1 was a great game and the second was so so different and yet great. Change's usually a good thing with blizzard.

@kus2ganteng Yeah, just not Diablo storyline, cartoon graphics, and the exact same gameplay (understandable because it's the same people that made Diablo). You're soooooooo right, I'm not going to buy one of the biggest games that will come out this year/next year because they added a $ value to gold, made it so people in 3rd world countries can't play Diablo, and don't add a bunch of PvP modes in a PvE game (already said they are adding more).
Idgaf what you do but I'm not missing Diablo 3.

Diablo 3's 'constant internet connection' requirement makes it DOA to me.
I bought Torchlight online 3 days ago and I am quite happy with it.
Torchlight [2] and Skyrim will more than make up for skipping D3 unless Blizzard decides to understand it is all about the customer.

Recommendation for every sane person: Don't buy Diablocraft3. Spend the money you would have spent on buying it to buy multiple copies of Torchlight 2 and gift the spare ones to the people you know who would like the game but never knew about it.
Doing that, you would do a gaming industry a huge favor.

Lol I can't believe you guys think this will even be close to Diablo 3. You think the RMAH is going to ruin it. Oh no you can buy gear in a co-op game, how terrible!! It's easy to tell you aren't real Diablo fans if you are leaving because of something as simple as this, if you auction something on Ebay they take a cut so why shouldn't Blizzard if you auction something with real money there?
That aside, buying Torchlight 2 because of Matt Uelmen's amazing work, and the good gameplay!

@AlynatrillGaming for one, there will be PVP. As much skill based as diablo can be its still heavily reliant on gears. Therefore those with most money will pretty much make the PVP system imbalanced.
Also ebay charges because they serve as a "medium" they protect the transaction and insure you that if anything wrong happens you're going to be covered.
And diablo lived for a very long time because of the Mod support. There is no modsupport on diablo 3. Torchlight 2 does.

Funny how everyone rages about D3 and now care about Torchlight 2 all of a sudden.
As much as I liked the first Torchlight, T2 is not Diablo and doesnt look like it will be.
I never bought any virtual items in any game, and I will not start doing so in D3. I also do not care about PvP in D3, I got FPS games that take care of that itch (quake live, wolf et). Blizzard has yet to disappoint me and I will trust them until they do. Real money cash shops, I dont give a damn about, wont spoil my D3.

@antiHUMANDesigns You're fighting the way the market is going - there's no point in doing that. Blizzard is one of the very few companies NOT charging for DLC (that's what a patch is in WoW) and not using cash currency in some way in game. Everything is moving this direction - why fight it? Its very clear you do not HAVE to use the cash currency element of the AH in D3 and there will be a lot of people who don't.

@CaptainARR The real money auction house. But don't mind that, I've done a lot of thinking and such, and I'm more or less OK with the real money auction house now. I realised that it has it's good and bad sides, and ultimately I can steer clear of it if I want to. Also, the part where they removed skill points, but after listening to Jay Wilson, I actually agree. It'll probably all turn out great. They have the big picture, the rest of us don't. Gotta trust them to some extent, too.

That's the way to think man. I keep listening to all these people complaining how Diablo 3 has turned out to be a disappointment when they haven't even played the game. How the game sucks because of the auction house when they can simply not use it. I guess most people just wanted diablo II with new maps, another diablo clone. We have to stop forgetting that diablo 1 was a great game and the second was so so different and yet great. Change's usually a good thing with blizzard.

@CaptainARR Ye, the developers play the game for hours each day, carefully weighing their desicions. All of us sitting here cannot judge what impact things have on a game we truthfully have no grasp of.
I do disagree with the real money auction house, though. But over the past 4 days, I've come to accept it. I think the reason people are raging is because it came as such a chock to all of us. I guess there was no way to break it gently, so that's something we'll have to deal with.

I love these style of games but I just hate the "disney cartoon" style graphics. Diablo 2 was the only ones that was gritty, gothic, dark, etc.) I soo sad a game like d2 will never be out. D3 was butchered by blizzard and looks like crap.

Ive played the first franchise of this game and i was impressed its like diablo with alot better graphic...as for diablo 3....i am still looking forward to it...hope it doesnt fail like Duke nukem forever...that was a dissapointment although its been developed for so long
