  • As part of the 1%, he could probably give away 66% of his wealth right now to whatever, and still live prettyyy comfortably in his old age. And that he is actually willing to pay a bit more for others is fantastic. I applaud you.

  • You're a good man, Mr. Schweser.

  • Thank you for speaking out Professor Schweser. We need more voices like yours and Elizabeth Warren's calling for reform. Average people are beginning to wake up to the situation and you're pointing them in the right direction.

  • So write a check to the government and be done with it. By the way, my father was in the one percent 30 years ago after working very hard and becoming a business owner, that came to an abrupt end because of government intervention. Maybe you can donate your "fair share" tax refund check to him...

  • @mikeswanon8989 Are you suggesting taxation should be voluntary?

  • @webgeek6 Obviously not, we have laws saying what people should pay, but if he wants his taxes raised then I suggest he simply give what additional money he wants to them. He can do so here online at the Department of the Treasury's webpage.

  • @mikeswanon8989

there are a hell of a lot of other "!%" ers that want the same thing- Isay lets go for it- good for the country-good for the attitude of the rest of the rich when they see their peers giving back.

  • @mikeswanon8989

Just what exactly did the government do to your father ?= Please reply

  • @iamthemouthman he owned a tobacco and candy distribution company which was very successful until the point where they raised taxes and regulation so much all the smaller businesses were forced out. He worked hard for so many years and has nothing to show for it now.

  • @mikeswanon8989 Were they state taxes?- Tobacco was rightly regulated . Other stuff is unjustly regulated-depending on the finacial situation within the state- unfortunately this is the price of being in business. Too bad about your dad
