@recman1207 This track is from the Andy Fraser and Frankie Miller collaboration. Koss was completely out of it in 1974 when this was recorded. Andy Fraser just couldn't continue to work with a guy who didn't know what day of the week it was. Sad. This is a double LP of what I consider to be Koss' best albeit lesser known work from Champion Jack Dupree in '68 through to Back Street Crawler in '76. A fine, fine record, still widely available.
@pjay2506 andy fraser just jamed with frankie miller (no collaboration there then.)
the rumbledown band came about because andy fraser .free .frankie miller .where on the same lable.
koss was not out of it all day everyday.he played on this track because he was at andy frasers house .just round the corner from the studio.fraser or koss never considered themselfs part of the band.
fraser and koss remained friends right upto his death,
look up andy frasers interview a couple of months ago .
How come its hot outside (cos the sun is shining) and I am covered in goosebumps!! I wish I was that age again when all this was new - I wish I had understood then that it wouldnt last forever....so much emotion in music/voice/lyrics luv to PK and FM XX
Amazing song! Kossoff at his best; weird production though - there's a strange sort of halting/hesitation quality to the timing on several of the breaks, whatever.
But most importantly ...I thought that was Paul Rodgers singing - it's Frankie Miller, tremendous emotion, crazy phrasing, very evocative. I'm a big Free fan, saw them open for Blind Faith back in the day - BUT THIS IS A TRUE KOSSOFF GEM!
@MondoToddman I always felt this was how PR wished he sounded - so much more raw emotion to the timbre of his vocals....dont get me wrong I appreciate both guys....but feel PR now sounds a bit 'corporate'. Rock in Peace Koss X
Hits the spot every time!!!

The chords seem to be like this
a gaga e g e g a egeg... I mean koss probably has somthing more at work, but that gives you a good base for the song

@monikeronly I would say paul rodgers falls behin on the lower level stuff, but paul just has a little bit more when he lets it rip
I think this would actually be a good representation of what paul would have sounded like if he didnt smoke (as much at least)
