WOW! I thought no black punk band preceded "The Bad Brains." I would know more of these guys. This predates the "Sex Pistols," the "Dead Boys," and all the rest of them. The strange thing about our people-as the article states-is we originated most of the music in this country, but many black bands always had to be careful about how they present their music to black people. During the mid-'70's Clive was pushing that revolting shit called "Disco" and wanted everyone in line.

@cmeza1985 -- Vermont. NPR did a story on their twisted story, it's how I'd learned that their album was finally being released.  Only heard stories of them before that. Funny how that works, urban legends of three black boys playing harder rock than anyone else could imagine, who the record companies wouldn't dare touch.
