  • why do people think that the rights of animals don't count. How would you like to spend your whole life in a cage so small that you could even lie down? I just don't get the selfish mentality of people...

  • Thank you to everyone for the support of this new legislation. Although California Prop 2 creates a minimal improvement in the lives of factory farm animals, it proves that people recognize the need for compassion to animals.

  • yes on prop 2

"We Christian ask God for mercy and compassion so we should give the same to animals who are God's creatures"

  • Factory farms versus family farms. Do you morons know what your talking about. Egg ranches around the state are overwhelmingly family farms. Disease is more likely in free roam cages because the bird dropping will then come in contact with the eggs. I know you are trying to be humane but the only industry your gonna effect in the egg. There is next to no veal, or pork in cali. You should put your efforts into stopping human abortions. That is much more of an issue

  • Unhealthy chickens lay unhealthy eggs then you eat those unhealthy eggs.

  • It sounds like california is gonna be the

guiney pig in ths proposal when all our poultry gets shiped in from elsewhere, hnonestly I hope your right I"M SCARED

  • YES ON PROP 2!!!!!!

  • Thanks for this video...now, please go out to your communities and educate people on why it makes sense to vote yes and support local farms. I'm in Oregon and don't have a say in this but we're all watching to see what Californians will do on this one! Please vote YES!!!

  • A tax increase to help defer the cost of making certain these animals have enough room to stand and turn around is fine with me. (It would no doubt be mild anyways.)

    Yes on Proposition 2!

  • Please be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

    Vote YES to PROPOSITION 2.

  • Please be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

    Vote YES to PROPOSITION 2.

  • Its funny how California voters will listen to celebrities who have no background in the farming industry. California has such great standards for food quality that none of us have had to face diseases we faced years ago because of the way we raise our animals. So if you want to destroy the California egg industry and get unsafe eggs from out of state from chickens raised in cages smaller then the ones California egg producers have then vote yes on prop 2. I WILL VOTE NO...

  • and after you vote no go home and sit in a cage where you cannot move around, just try it for 1 day, not trying to be an ahole im just saying see how you feel.

  • One more week, let's make this happen, vote Yes on prop 2! Please don't listen to the scaremongering of big, money-hungry agribusiness. It is important to know that we can shape the society we live in. Let's do it on Nov 4.!

  • I'm so excited for Prop 2! I am going to promote this ad even though Alicia's facial movements were all over the place and kinda freakin me out... still love what she's doing for the animals!

  • I feel sad for animals that don't sleep with a tempur-pedic mattress and not getting quality sleep. I cernainly don't want to eat a grumpy chicken. By the way, did you know that Elfen lied? Here's proof: x3DNWAi7QjY .. Yes on 2!

  • As a Vegan I often wonder why humans still eat meat. Eating flesh is not necessary. Nutrients and protien can come from other sources.

  • Right on celebs!! YES ON 2!!!!

I for one am willing to pay a higher price for food that has come from humane practices. Actually, I already do. If I can afford it I'm sure these celebrities can.

  • this is a good bill. i hope it gets passed.

  • Fabulous! So what if folks have to pay a few more pennies for their food? I'm willing to. No, I don't have an unlimited budget. Just because we've always done the "wrong" thing by treating these animals without common decency, does not make it right! We can change. I've changed. It's not okay to participate in this cruelty. It is not okay! And I'm willing to put up the pennies per pound of food to back up my beliefs!

  • YES for Prop 2. It's about time!

  • While I also believe animals, even those raised for food should be treated humanely, I wonder if these "celebrities" would be willing to pay a higher tax rate to subsidise the increase in food bill the the average joe is going to incur?

  • We already do!! Our tax dollars already support this madness as the meat industry is heavily subsidized by the government because if they didn't a hamburger would cost $5-$6 instead of the .99 we see on every street corner:~(

  • IF this country is shelling out trillions for illegal wars across the globe. We can shell out one billion or two to treat this animals better. Not only would the animals live a better life we would get healthier foods.

  • Alicia Silverstone has been for humane animal rights for many years. Congratulations to her and the other celebrities for making this video. YES ON PROP. 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If this passes, what's next? Womens' right to vote? Oh, wait...

  • I'm voting yes on prop 2 for sure. What kinda of fiend would treat an animal like that!

  • Yes, lets put farmers out of business and import eggs from mexico! Great idea.... =/

  • these factory owners aren't "farmers". i grew up in a rural community, i remember real farmers. these huge factory "farms" treat animals like machinery and abuse is par for the course. instead, why don't we give family farmers a chance and vote YES on prop 2!

by the by, similar legislation already exists in the european union, and they don't rely on imported eggs from mexico or anywhere else. corporate greed at the expense of our food safety and our conscience is NOT farming.

    YES ON PROP 2!!!

  • california currently imports no eggs from mexico, however we do import a large percentage from out of state. now here's the rub: millions of dollars have been given to prop 2's opposition by out of state egg producers. why would they do this if passage of prop 2 means more importing of their eggs? the truth is that factory farmers are afraid that once americans see what REALLY goes on, we will demand a change. we want safe & humane food, so we're voting YES ON PROP 2!!!

  • They are supporting this because it will lead to propositions in their own state. Your ignorance, and your lack of knowledge for how the farm industry works makes me afraid of the outcome of our society. And I hope you are willing to pay the sky rocketing prices of free range chickens which are already outrageous in an economy that is spiraling out of control. Then I can guarantee that the majority of Californians are going to buy eggs out of state from cage happy chickens...

  • Best one yet!

  • katharine mcphee is amazinggg

  • Yay for Prop 2. It's about time!

  • Oh what an excellent video! My thoughts and prayers are with you in California as the votes are counted for the animals in just a few short weeks. God's precious animals do not deserve such cruelty.

    Pamela - Texas

  • Katharine McPhee is beautiful.

  • I think this shows that Katharine McPhee is a liberal! Not that I condone animal abuse, I love animals!!!!
