I've been playing the guitar for 4 years. So far i only know the major scales and some minor scales, And i am just starting to learn the pentatonic scales
im trying to learn pentatonic scale with hammer ons and pull offs so many people ive seen seem to use eather classical hand position or rock position with the thumb over the top. could anyone please explain the pros and cons of both for me pls? I mean should i practise both? i have been trying to practise both but i dont want to do myself any damage. thanks
You are one of the best teachers on YouTube, hands down. I've seen many lessons for the pentatonic scale before, but I never got any of them. Your lesson is different though; I understood the whole concept and how to play the scale and use it during the length of this video. You must love music so much. I wholeheartedly thank you.

I know all this already, but you are a very good and thorough teacher. Hopefully I can find some more advanced lessons by you (dorian, aeolian). I dig your teaching style. I'm self taught and been playing for 15 yrs relying on pentatonic major & minor (and a LOT of my own feel).
holy shit man....u really are a good teacher, most likely cause u love the guitar, but damn dude, really good shit, what i havent learnt in long hours, i've basically learnt it in like 10 minutes of u explaining......niiiice
Yo man make more videos ur a good explainer. good teach u give off a good vibe. explain very well out of all the teacher on youtube id say ur about the best bro PEACE!
My friend. Thank you so much. This was superb. I Finally understand what I have been trying to get for a long time. I can so move on to another level with my guitar playing. I am so glad I came in this site. MORE!!!!!
When it comes to learning guitar theres no such thing as "too long" thats why a lot of people don't learn anything because they want to be guitar god overnight.
+1. It takes years to become a great guitarists, it doesn't happen at the snap of the fingers, I've been playing for almost 5 years, i can play basic solos and stuff, but scales, modes and keys i have no idea, and sweep picking...yikes
@shakezulla86 I definately can agree with this. I made the same mistake myself when I was younger. Didn't have the patience to learn scales or any techniques inside out, and as a result got frustrated and ended up quitting for a few years. Now i'm starting to play again, and have been much more patient and disciplined with practice, and can already see the difference that's made. Of course I still want to be a guitar god, but at least now I know first hand it'll take time and dedication :)
This man is a god with teaching. <3

sergioakaliltroll20s 2 years ago
@sergioakaliltroll20s an octave is 8 notes
coprophagism 2 years ago
8 notes. The higher or lower you go ,more than 8 notes, it'll span over octaves. A 24- fret guitar spans 5 octaves, plus the highest E-note

Sorry. Too many videos to watch out here. You take too long to demonstrate what you will be teaching. Have to skip you.
