Its great for all ages & families. They have a kids section & a teen section for you to met new people. They had so much amazing stuff you can't even fit into doing it all in a week. The ship went to Hati, Cozumel Mexico & Costa Maya Mexico

@spencerdev91 I guess that is a legitimate concern, but because of the tragedy that happened to Titanic, there are lots of regulations that the crew has to follow also the guidelines for building safer ships. For instance, they can't go anywhere near the iceberg infeseted areas of the sea, and they need to have enough lifeboats on board for everyone. And everyone that works on the ship is required to do evacuation drills.

@spencerdev91 It wouldn't hit an iceberg because there are regulations as to where they are allowed to travel, and they would be alerted to any such hindrance at sea, now that they have much more technological advances. As for a torpedo? I don't think that would happen at all in today's day and age either. I'm not sure just HOW it would sink, but the crew and the passengers are required to go through an evacuation drill should something like this happen eliminating tragic circumstances.

Personally if id b going 2 the carribean I prefer to be seeing the islands etc, with maybe a bit to do in between theater-wise etc. but it does take all types i suppose...
A lot of people would feel lost in the midst of such a huge ship and such a big crowd. Nothing beats the coziness and the comfort of a smaller ship where the crew can offer you a more personable treatment and remember you by name
Imagine an incident that would cause the ship to sink. The evacuation of over 5,000 passengers would represent a logistical nightmare. There is no doubt in my mind a lot of people would perish in the panic caused by such incident

In the case of fire or sinking, these modern ships are over engineered. Fire suppression is excellent as well as many evacuation routes and lifeboats.
I would worry about something more realistic like Norwalk Virus.
Why do you think they drills? Titanic did not have drills or enough lifeboats. Do you realize that after the titanic sank they added more regulations. Titanic was a major wake up call for all cruise ships. Another thing the makers of the Oasis of the seas is not going around and calling it unsinkable.

I was actually booked on the maided voyage, but because they brought it forward 2 weeks, we where unable to change our travel arrangements, but we are going on Freedom instead, I love all ov the Freedom class ships, and all ov the other classes of ships too, Royal caribbean kick ass, and i hope they continue to do so for a very long time.

@ecwforever Im sorry, but P&O are sooo much more appealing than this. I cant understand why these companys are trying to make ships more like land. The reason people cruise is to meet people with intimate surroundings and for something different. A money making scheme i feel. P&O Aurora FTW

Personally if id b going 2 the carribean I prefer to be seeing the islands etc, with maybe a bit to do in between theater-wise etc. but it does take all types i suppose...

Too big. Way too big for comfort
A lot of people would feel lost in the midst of such a huge ship and such a big crowd. Nothing beats the coziness and the comfort of a smaller ship where the crew can offer you a more personable treatment and remember you by name
Imagine an incident that would cause the ship to sink. The evacuation of over 5,000 passengers would represent a logistical nightmare. There is no doubt in my mind a lot of people would perish in the panic caused by such incident

Your analogy does not make a lot of sense to me. If your idea of a cruise is to be lost in the midst of a huge ship that will give you the impression you are in a big city like NYC, why not simply go to NYC ?

In the case of fire or sinking, these modern ships are over engineered. Fire suppression is excellent as well as many evacuation routes and lifeboats.
I would worry about something more realistic like Norwalk Virus.

Why do you think they drills? Titanic did not have drills or enough lifeboats. Do you realize that after the titanic sank they added more regulations. Titanic was a major wake up call for all cruise ships. Another thing the makers of the Oasis of the seas is not going around and calling it unsinkable.

I was actually booked on the maided voyage, but because they brought it forward 2 weeks, we where unable to change our travel arrangements, but we are going on Freedom instead, I love all ov the Freedom class ships, and all ov the other classes of ships too, Royal caribbean kick ass, and i hope they continue to do so for a very long time.

im sorry, but you are chatting total rubbish, ships are guaged of tonnage, every ship in Royal Caribbeans fleet of 21 cruise ships alone is above at least 68000 tonnes, the Titanic was around 48000 tonnes.

just came off of the royal carribean's liberty of the seas 4 days ago and it was AMAZING so i cant imagine how crazy this boat will be!...with all the gadgets on it almost seems as if its a child thats though up some of the ideas! haha

Haha, 'cuz I live in Finland where they build Oasis of the Seas, I was able to look inside this ship and we walked through that entertainment lobby and central park. And the casino..I would like to go on cruise :-(
