It IS a hoot when you express your befuddlement with the bar chord fretting. But I hope you stay with your guitar! Nice video too! Hang in there kid! You're doing great!!!
I'm feeling sorry for you :/ , It reminds of me 2 years ago when i wanted to start playing guitar and my grandma gave a 40 years old classical guitar with with only 3 strings :/ , but unless it was a real guitar, and i still have it, now with 6 strings, to remind me of the days when nylon strings use to hurt my fingers xD , buy a real guitar ;) =D
love the comment: "You don't have to tune it, everything's alright". Actually you are able to down tune it, or create alternate tunings somehow, I believe. I am not sure if it it is on this one, or the YouRockGuitar at this point. I'm a bit confused after seeing several videos, ranging from vintage Guitar Synths that Steve Stevens used, to the YRG-100 and everything in between, including analog stombox guitar pedals and digital counterparts or Moog even to make synth sounds.
Come on people! Leave the kid alone! His parents gave it to him, as a gift and he is barely learning, without any teacher, no one ever sat down, to tell him what a bar chord is and he is just learning himself how to play and what to do. Yeah, a few had the decency to comment in a nice way, that it is a bar chord and how to play it.
this is a pretty weird instrument where did you get it from? i was very interested to know how it works. thanks for the vid. have you gotten any better at this yet? or have you moved on to a reg guitar at this point? just curious
@daftpunkadr It would be nice if he was, but what this thing is really teaching him is how to play *it*. Because it has buttons he won't get used to the dynamics of fretting strings, proper finger, wrist and elbow positioning to avoid unintentionally muting strings and the "feel" of different strings. If he masters this thing and eventually gets a real guitar, he'll be back to sounding like a beginner for a while and that may discourage him completely. That would suck.
Tired of people making music to some sort of .. technic advanced compute shit ... first the drums was made to keyboard, and now this !!! .. omg u call that guitar ? . get skills ! ..
how long ago did you buy it and the midi output is a normal midi connection or is it a Yamaha cable it is improtant to connect it easly to the computer to edit what you create
you have the option of plugging in an external amp. there is an internal speaker. and you can put batteries in it, on the go, which requires that you use AA batteries
i"m getting one soon . can this thing play any song a regular guitar can play ? doses it comes with a software to download new midi to the EZ ? i hope its not hard to do that.
Don't call me mean, because i'm going to help you out. first off you got all of the bar chord stuff that other ppl have told you, second when you pluck the string with both of your hands, dont do that. use one hand (perferably your thumb unless you're playing finger stile) its not nessesary to use two hands. hpe this helps.
the thing u dnt know how to do is a bar chord u put your index finger over all the buttons on the 2nd fret and then your pinky on the 5th fret 3rd button down and the finger next to your pinky on the 5th fret 2nd button down .
i thnk that should help instead of using both your hands

dudes this isn't for learning guitar it's for plugging it into your computer and using as a midi controller!
LittleEmoBoy001 2 years ago
@LittleEmoBoy001 actually, it is meant for learning, but more advanced users use it for a midi controller.

Good job. I'm sure you know all about bar chords by now. Ignore stupid comments from anonymous posters. They probably can't play anyways.
