Yes, that was my point. *This* video is good and took a lot of skill, but isn't as good as the Aardman animations - which shows you how skilled the Aardman animators are.

We couldn't bring ourselves to cut the dancing which had taken sooo long to do, and so the only option was to remove the cutscenes (which I think detracted from the dancing anyway) and have a shorter ending than originally intended. I still like the new ending though, and it gave us fresh challenges like the hat flying through the air and an opportunity to have a go at lip synch!

Many many thanks for all the great comments on here! Quixotequest, regarding the ending/storyline, the original storyboard was a lot more involved, with cutscenes to the person answering the door, and a longer ending involving the person coming back to the desk and interacting with Morph. However once filming started, the dancing scenes over-ran, and the 2 minute maximum running time imposed by the competition meant that something had to go! cont
