serious master class picking here with a bright soul to boot! I wonder if Paul has heard Pat's version? I bet his jaw dropped if he has!!!! Pat should start doing like Wes Montgomery did in the controversial "cover" period before his death and cover many of those gorgeous classics from all genre's of the early to mid 60's. A truly beautiful era in music that when combined with Pat 's talent could be so refreshing and make life a little more sweet in spite of our world's woes.
Pat played this as one of his encore numbers last night in Ludwigshafen, and he always gives so much of himself in performance. His accompanists are always wonderful players as well, giving and taking support in supple, subtle and dynamic ways. I would like to hear this also with Larry Grenadier, although it is wonderful as solo. Thanks for posting!
