I really like him and I think he is going to appeal to a lot of people, both for his message and for the way he presents himself. I am really happy to hear he's going to be coming to California. Hope I can meet him.

I like his ideas, but it will be difficult to get "regular Republicans" to go against the candidate the party endorses. He should run as an Independent!

The economy is going to be in a shambles in a year. People will be fed up with the party regulars. No reason for him not to run as a republican. Republicans used to stand for limited governement, why can't they again?

RonPaul..I disagree. He has a better chance as a Republican...look at his dad...he was better off running as a Rep even though he was censored...at least he got more exposure than in 88..but alas..we will see how things go in the next few years.

I agree that Rand is doing fine running as a Republican. It could be the "final showdown" for the heart and soul of the Republican Party.

That said, I think his father's political runs for President (1988 vs. 2008) were more affected by the internet (new media) than what party.

I work with the Libertarian Party in Kentucky, and it's growing fast. Lots of young people, as well, which is building for the future.
