If I stopped and investigated everything I put in my mouth and didnt eat a thing that humans havent fully understood.....I WOULD STARVE!!!. yOU think this should scare people from eating deer eh? why dont you do a movies on the hormones in chicken and beef from the store? What about the steroids pumped into those animals so they get big quick? or the pesticides in the food those caged animals eat? Why not point out the madcow was derived from animals eating shit they shouldnt have been fed

@Crustydraw How much healthier can one lives be by stop eating meat altogether and choose a plant based diet?. Tissues and flesh HOLDS diseases and cannot be washed or cooked away especially this agent called Prions which is deadlier then AIDS. As far as hormones , pesticides and steroids there is a choice to get free range or "organic" but in deer there isn't and when you consume deer carcass you are playing Russian roulette.

@Crustydraw As for Prions we know IT WILL KILL PEOPLE , so you bringing up hormone, pesticides and steroids is pointless. Deer also have many other wildlife diseases such as bovine TB, worms, and parasites and even pesticides thought that is mostly in urban deer.

You can not get CWD from eating the meat you can only get it by eating tissue from the CNS and some organs. There is no known relationship between CWD and any other TSE of animals or people.

American Government does not want to let the public know about the seriousness of the disease, they too busy making money off the bloodshed of whitetails. If they told the public how serious it is, the sales of tags will go way down not because the hunters are eating the deer carcass but the pantries will stop taking them. Where will hunters "give" their kills to then?

Because of the pantries hunters can buy so many tags and DNR can rake in the blood money.  They know majority of sports hunters do not eat their kill and they could care less poor people get the diseases and die and actually they could care less about you either. .
