It really builds it up throughout the series, making you truly care for Aang and what he stands for. And then they have this...this battle that is, to put it plainly, a masterpiece.

They say they will answer many of the unanswered questions that they could not answer during the series. The series is called Avatar The Last Airbender: The Promise. So far all I know of is parts one and two, and I'm hoping for more to come! This really is a great show. Hands down my favourite.

I think they made the right choice not killing Ozai, but I think they did it entirely wrong. They spent all this time trying to build up suspense with dramatic music, color coded atmosphere, and slow camera pans but you knew the whole time what was going to happen. When Ozai started covering Aang, nobody thought "OH NO AANG'S GONNA LOSE", everybody knew "He's gonna surge at the end and win". Totally anticlimactic. There was neither action nor drama.

I actually like the fact Aang let Ozai live. Because if he was killed, Ozai would just have died. However, since he got his bending abilities taken from him, he has to live the rest of his life in a powerless state that reminds him of how hard he fails. And that, too me, is an awesome punishment. Meanwhile his son, whom he hated, is now the Firelord. Suck on that one, Ozai.

I don't really understand why people bitch about the ending, I mean, Aang choosing to not kill Ozai has a big impact on the story, and it is contemplated on a lot in previous episodes, if Aang did kill him, it would destroy a lot of the previous story.

Aang did the right thing by taking Ozai's bending away; the only things Ozai had going for him was his position as Firelord and his bending. He's now lost both, making him and the thread he posed moot. The world doesn't need more killing; it doesn't matter if it's our world or Aang's world. Besides, he was technically 12 or 13 years old. I don't think I know any 12 year olds that would knowingly kill another human being, regardless of how they were raised. Aang found a loophole and used it.

Aang was taught that all life is precious, and no one like Ozai has the right to kill anyone, so why should you, what gives you the right, you know things like that.
