Feelings are not an accurate measurement tool. I can feel like I am being poisoned, but actually b being cured of cancer. 3. You obviously don't understand the scientific method because reproducibility is key.
4. To negate the placebo effect, the statistics must be compared to those who either fake or think that they have these powers.
5. If a large group of people start saying that they can jump over one mile in a single bound, and when none of them can pass a preliminary test, it does not show that the scientists are doing something wrong; it shows that none of those people can prove that they can do it.

I see your point. How, then, should they do a scientific test to prove something like psychic ability? I'm pretty sure that any test a so-called psychic could actually pass would not qualify as scientific. I think you're stretching things quite a bit with your underwater iron analogy.

If the methodology used to investigate the phenomena is not in keeping with the phenomena in question, like making a claim that an iron works, and then investigating whether it wworks under water and then findng that it does not work under water, then the methodology has to be reapraised and is not representative of whether the iron works or not.

You get to do the work on the protocol. If you apply properly you should be good to go. Want something scientific go do it at a university.

Having the sample size puts the science into the experiment. A drug is not released for public usage unless it has proven to be beneficial statistically. Drugs, for instance, don't always work.

Yes but even with drug trials there are much smaller initial tests to prove safety & efficacy before larger tests are carried out for the purposes of statistical analysis.
