I own a '79 RS2000 and I wish the suspension was that good as shown in the video. What happens to those eggs feels like my spine at times.

Still can't beat about fun a Mk2 Escort is to drive though.

Hey! when the bloke fills the boot with the cases the blue ghia escort has the rostyle wheels, when the driver pulls the jumbo jet and stops briefly to recieve the applause from the girls in the terminal the escort has the 1.3 plain jane style wheel rims!!? Fire the continuity director...bit late i spose. Haha.

I had a MKII RS2000 in black from 1984 until 1994, had to sell it because i could no longer afford to insure it. I sold it for £1,400 now look what they are going for. GGRrrrrrrr !

I know exactly what you mean! - I had a concourse mk2 'N' reg in riviera blue back in 1987 and swapped it for a kn*ckered Sherpa, because some @&$£ said there was money in scrapping aluminium. There was, if you could get any!

The square headlamps always appeared on the GL and Ghia models - it was from the start of 1979 when the L gained the square lights, when the range had a slight cosmetic makeover.
