  • @dazzledazz123 funny you say that, when I was a kid they had a nintendo at my daycare center but it was in the basement which I was scared to death of unless the SNES was down there.

  • i just got 4000 games on my laptop. i played both DKC2 for gameboy and SNES. the SNES music is way better, don't believe me? then get both of these games and listen to them yourself. thumbs up if you agree

  • @MegaStevemachine Of course the SNES has better music! :3

  • @MSoltan1992 listen to the music on game boy advance. you'll see a huge difference

  • @MegaStevemachine I know, the GBA had bad music. I love the SNES version of this game : )

  • @MSoltan1992 they didn't even try. not only was the music bad but the graphics where terrible.

  • SNES Emulator FTW, played this game and the DKC series on it, until i had unlocked every fucking secret :D really hard though... games that really challenges your platform games skills :)

  • I can't believe how much this game has affected me!

  • i will never remember this theme because as a kid i could NEVER GET PAST THIS LEVEL!!!!

  • temasoo ese instrumental.

  • Check out Pure Nano Rythm 1 and 2 in my channel, Been thinking of doing pure nano rythm with a track from DKC2, grew up with nintendo and super nintendo and know what real music is.

  • Meine Kindheit! :D

  • This fucking song enriched my childhood

  • i wouldnt mind dying here cuz i love the theme when u die haha

  • Alegria!

  • 0:13 - Phil Collins Drum Solo ;D

  • @orangesliceofdeath HAHAHAHAHA

  • @orangesliceofdeath I think this whole track could pass for a Genesis song lol.

  • NOSTALGIA BANDWAGON~ :D

  • Part of this music has the sound from DKC1 when a mine cart or a steel keg hits the ground FYI.

  • best sequel since Empire Strikes Back!

  • The worse part is, it has to end.

  • This sounds like Kraftwerk "Metal on metal" - great stuff.

  • Now, that's what we call art in video games. Using only 16bit technology and the result is simply beyond magnificent...

  • Man I remember I was eating my chocolate bar while playing this level...

I always like to listen this song...

Man I miss my childhood history.

  • f*** black ops dis is d s**t thumbs up if u agree

  • i listen to this while playing minecraft :P

  • @metroid1234567 Ruining a such a great song from such a great game with such a nonsense game...

  • @xAmon12x who are you to judge whats good and whats not? i'm not trying to sound like an ass here but i'm honestly curious

  • @metroid1234567 What do you mean who am i? Do i have to be someone very known and rich to say a game is crap? My opinion =/= Your opinion. Deal with it.

  • @xAmon12x i'm not saying you cant have a separate opinion than mine just the way you worded what you said made it seem as if you were stating a fact not opinion, if i offended you in any way i am sorry but i strongly disagree with your opinion in this case and how you reacted but whats none of my business anyways

  • I heard this when I played Minecraft.

  • fuck i loved this level, my cartridge broke after a while and i couldn't progress past it (the bird bit would stuff up) but i didn't care this music was so epic i just kept replaying it.

  • I just love this music

  • Its games like Donkey kong that proves games are not just games, but pieces of art. only far less boring

  • @MegaG58tehfirst I really agree..

  • @JimmyLeong hahaha, me too!

  • i DONT CARE WUT ANYBODY SAYS BUT I STILL THINK DK IS 1OF THE BEST GAME THAT HAS EVER CAME OUT

  • Perfect !

  • I remember I purposely let Diddy stood there at the beginning of this stage just to listen to this music all day....

  • i imagin miners working to this song hammering/drilling along lol

  • aaawww this songs brings me soo much memoriess when i was a lili babyy aaaww i love this gamee

  • I remember playing this game on my old SNES yesterday and it was so amazing, the music, the gameplay, I couldn't stop playing until I beat the whole thing again. Better than most of the games we have today.

  • I can play this song on piano. I love the part from 00:36 to 00:54. So nostalgic, yet I didn't play this game back then.

  • oh man. 0:36 to 0:54 always, ALWAYS gives that feeling of sadness, nostalgia, but fondness like thinking about an old friend you used to be close with. ugh. love it.

  • I have always found the soundtracks on games from the same era as this game (especially this game, Super Metroid and Zelda) to have the best music. It seems these days everybody throws Pop songs etc into the game and hopes it works but I think that the tracks these games have mean a load more not only cause of the times but because they made the effort the creators tried and put soul into it.

  • @METAPHOR1232 heh good one though triforce IS right WISE is a genius too XD

  • I remember my brother saying that this is the theme that expressed the sadness of Donkey Kong's capture.

  • Who ever made this song is a GENIUS!! Its sooooo good!

  • Such a Kick-Ass theme!! :) | )

  • Such a Kick-Ass theme!! :) | )

  • i remember when my best friend got this game before me when we were in middle school and we played it all day at his house and then my mom surprised me by getting me the game that weekend (after extreme begging of course). i would give anything to go back to those days. one of my best memories...

  • looks like somebody missed the like button... WHO ARE YOU!!! >.<

  • if i remember correctly i skipped n64 and gamecube and stayed with my snes until 2004 when i was given a gameboy advance sp. games like this were the reason why

  • I think there should come a lawthat only David Wise can compose gaming music.

  • What made these games so special was mainly its amazing music. When you played on the lava levels...the atmosphere made you feel like you were in a volcano. If you were in a jungle you felt the swamp around you and if you were under water you swam through its ambience. Games these days cant seem to fill that hole anymore. Its a shame. Creating atmosphere is what Donkey Kong excelled in along with addictive gameplay.

  • This was always my favorate DKC game.

  • epic

  • Bitchin song, this game ruled.

  • @DarkShadowRage2 Still fucking does, have to find my SNES and these games from somewhere in the basement. There is no reason not to reminiscence on these absolutely godly games at our 20's. Everybody wants a piece of those times back, I can tell - so many people repeating the same lines in these comments.

  • Bitchin song, this game ruled.

  • can you spell epic, again?

  • Tun, tah, ta tun tun tah!!! :D

  • never noticed that!

  • donkey kong country 1 and 2 had really good music that went along with each level but as of country 3 i never really liked the music in it but heck its a donkey kong country game it was fun to play.

  • @RECHT1993 same here man!

  • this song is a bite off of Yanni - Within Attraction has the exact same melody expet i like this one way better its epic

  • i liked stickerbrush more, but this is surely great. unfortunately i become too nostalgic when listening to this...

  • Epic mining theme! :D

  • this was the best of the trilogy, no best of them all

  • i liked the background of mine was different, sometime its was silver diamond and other time gold diamont ;0

  • DKC2 has one of the best soundtracks out there

  • definetly my favorite dk country :D

  • all the music in this game in each level fit perfect for every level

  • I wasn't a huge fan of the levels associated with the music but on the other hand, i was a huge fan of the music. I remember swaying my shoulders to the beat while dodging a bee on windy well.

  • man i remember this shit it really hits the soft spot in my video game heart

  • i still play this, never gets old, just less challenging

  • One of best games ever

  • Absolutely fucking epic. Brings back so many memories. I loved this song even as a kid.

    *wipes away tear*

  • Friends, may I have a green thumbs up in the spirit of the game?

hehe, I'm just kidding. But seriously, this song will (among other donkey kong songs) will always help you find yourself if you get lost. By reminding us of the way we all were at one stage at our life.

Peace fellas, and long live donkey kong, as its not just a game, its a masterpeice.

  • couldn't have said it better

  • DKC 2 is definately the best of the three. The music, the levels, the graphics were incredible.

  • @ dustysxe don't forget the game play that was incredible as well.

  • @Inflames2k8 way to nail that shit... shit just happened to me today

  • @Inflames2k8 Very well said! You deserve some sort or award for such a brilliant comment. Thumbs up to you my friend. My you live long and prosper!

  • @JimmyLeong Yes, i actually play it in a SNES emulator for DS, but it's not the same thing :C

  • @xAmon12x : what's the different then ??

  • @xAmon12x You were on drugs or something, thats for sure

  • @SuperCrazf Absolutely.

  • @xAmon12x picchì si bestia e scemunitu!!! HAHAHA

Download an emulator and buy a joypad... it's not the same thing, i know =)

  • @xAmon12x i need to get a snes to my mom sold mine

  • @xAmon12x Emulators, dude. :3

  • @Ozarka0

    Not the same. =/

  • @IshidaTheQuincy True. I've played them and they just dont' have the same feel.

  • @xAmon12x haha I sold mine too, your not the only one bro. I wish I still had it though

  • @Inflames2k8 I agree it's one of less than 10 video game masterpieces of all time. But I don't like beginning of this music though game is worth highest marks.

  • @Inflames2k8 Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • @Inflames2k8 you can have one ;) you speaked well, man!

  • @Inflames2k8 sweet comment bro.

  • Oh, the subtle, sparkling lights of ore and crystal in the backdrop of the mine levels have never been so clear in my head ever since I heard this song again!

    So many memories, indeed.

  • goosebumps

  • this is an epic song from DKC2! God bless! =-)

  • there is nothing better than having a beach house in a tropical island and playing this game on snes with the sunset outside and this music fits perfectly.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I couldn't find this theme anywhere on the DKC2 soundtrack. Was there any reason why they excluded this?

  • It is there, it's just called "Kannon's Claim"

It's one of the last songs in the OST

  • Favorite theme from DCK2. Glad I still got the cart, box and manual.

  • Ahh... DKC2*..

  • lol

  • I love this song, but GOD do I HATE this level...f*cking parrot...

  • sqaaaaauk.lol

  • i honestly might call this the best video game ever made. the best original soundtrack by far, gaming is hard but do-able, is all-around fun and unforgettable characters.

  • 0:36 to 0:54....my god I always loved that part when I was a kid. I also loved 1:24 to 1:44. When the bees hummed I hummed too. As a matter of fact i found myself humming at that part too and just had a flashback of how i used to do it when i was a kid.

ahhh such memories...brings a tear to my eye really...

  • Its the certain segments of this soundtrack that bring it closer to your heart, a true classic. One of the finest achivements in video game soundtracks as a whole, most certainly ever on the Super Nintendo. Only rivaling that of the original Donkey Kong Country.

  • Well said. I completely agree
