"You see the Driver hooks a function by Patching the System Cool-Table, so it's not safe to unload it unless another Thread is about to jump in their and do it's stuff, and you don't want to end up in the middle of invalid memory, ha ha ha... Hello?"
This is so true. How about "Nothing's changed" or "Just fix it!" I had one lady calling in yelling at me and her router was unplugged. No wonder it didn't work. She had the gall to ask me how that might have happened!
@gwainbarek no, it's not helping people with their computer problems that's frustrating. There are some people I work with who are clueless on a computer and flat out say "I don't know what I'm doing." These people generally tend to be pleasant and I love helping and teaching these people what they need to know. It's the ones who are rude, boligerant, and treat you as if their computer problem is somehow your fault.. and then proceed to breath down your neck while you try to fix it.
Now that I work in IT, I totally understand why people react the way the first guy does. LOL It's amazing how many times I have people call me (usually executives) that literally have "problems" which turn out to be the person having no clue how a computer works, but trying to act like they do because they're emberassed. You're usually either lied to by users, or they call and ask what YOU did that caused their computer to quit working and then get short when you try to troubleshoot. Grrr...
@CamOTastic1 Totally know what you're talking about. Whenever a user experiences problems with his system, it's always the administrator's fault, even if all evidence points to a clear case of PEBKAC.
@CamOTastic1 Well I hope you're not the MEAN kind of IT people... I have had to call college IT services and by God they are some of the rudest people in the world. I'm assuming because they're all college students, but still... Just because I'm having trouble understanding how their online services work doesn't mean they have to be complete dicks about it.
@ImSeeFly Most of the people I work with have said I'm pretty easy to work with, and I do my best to NOT be the jerk some of the college students are to you. I generally joke with and try not to make people feel stupid and spend a lot of time thinking about the tone of my voice. I get what you mean about the college kids. Unfortunately, there's a lot of cynical people in the field with underdeveloped people skills. Like I said, I have a problem with user who are demanding and rude to me.
@ImSeeFly If I could offer some advice to you, though. Try not to be too judgmental of some of the college students. In my experience, I deal with a lot of belligerent users who can be very high maintenance and will often presume to tell you how to do your job instead of letting YOU be the professional. Many people get ticked when their computer doesn't work the way they want and get defensive, and we are the ones they take it out on. It's easy to get jaded after awhile.
@CamOTastic1 Yeah im IT support and in the military. When they say its my fault, I cant argue because they have higher rank. Oh civilian life I cant wait
@m4sterch13f222 Common knowledge can still be fun. I just so happen to not think this particular subject is fun, thereby agreeing with you, but as college humor often shows with their POV's for example, common stuff can easily be amusing
It is funny because the first season of The IT Crowd was filmed before a LIVE AUDIENCE. Next time when you're gonna act like a hipster dickhead, do some proper research so you won't end up looking like a complete jackass.
uhh die from aids, idiots like you actually deserve it.
