  • I watched this in class and nearly all the girls cried and a couple of guys were nervously covering their eyes. xD

  • The story seems to be a parabel about senility. I knew some people whoe were very intelligent, then, in a year, didn't know who anyone was.

  • red the book!!, its so beautiful! =3

  • Just finished this movie today in school

  • watched in school also. its sort of ironic how this is considered a *borderline* movie because of the s3x scene in it. but im in middle school so.... >.>

  • @HLGWolvesClan LOL Wut? xD

  • we watched this movie in class and i started crying

  • This is the only movie to make me cry in my entire adult life its beautiful

  • I recommend everyone read this book. You will start sobbing at the end. Reading about his degeneration is so heartbreaking considering what a genuinely good person he is.

  • @ohgoodjoy All of Charlie's memories growing up were sad too. I came really close to crying. Flowers for Algernon is one of my favorite books.

  • Haha, You Really Pulled a Charlie Gordon there... :)

  • i saw this in my reading class, and i had to leave because i was crying so much.

  • i wana be a genass

  • @ihatewebkinz1234 more like a jack ass, lol

  • when was this movie released?

  • @turfute 2000- you should watch the 1968 one though. I think I like it better. I at least like 1968 Charly better.

  • @lysjocksan Maybe Charly was better, but omg that movie as a whole made me want to cry in exasperation out of the sheer stupidity of it.

  • this version is so much better because the acting is much better

  • I cried when I watched this movie. what is a link to watch the entire thing? It's so good and sad.

  • I finished reading this book today, and just watched the 1968 movie... is this one better?

  • @RosySuperBeatleFan In my opinion, yes. But I shouldnt say that because I havent watched the older version yet. But I liked this one.

  • I am watching this movie like right now in my speech and debate class, we already read the short story, and it was so good, this movie is heartbreaking. We are finishing it on Monday and I don't want 2 wait until then ugh! I love this movie :)

  • I would've cried at the end of this movie if I hadn't been in English class :( It was so sad, I was screaming in my head 'OMG POOR MISS KINNIAN!!!!' It was SO sad! There were lots of parts I almost cried at, but at the end when Miss Kinnian was crying... oh, it ALMOST got me! But then I was saved by "I wanna be a jeen-ass!" "More like jackass." LOL Mike was awesome!!!

  • i just watched this movie today! haha it was so funny :P

  • nvm

  • i thought he was in love with miss kinnian

  • @chauncy424 Miss Kinnian is Alice. When i read the book i got confused too. I was all like who the hell is Alice? I thought he like Ms.Kinnian lolz

  • I remember watching this movie when I was in 8th grade for school. Oh the memories.

  • does any one know where to watch THIS version of the movie on you tube? and not the old one

  • if anyone has read the book i need you to answer this question for me--the book Flowers of Algernon was published 40 years ago. Has anything changed for people like charlie Gordon? Why or Why not? Write a one-page response for me and i will subscribe to you. Thank you

  • My Drama Class is Doing this as a Play. So Depressing. Made me So Angry that we didn't do a Comedy.

  • books are gay, movies are more real life

  • @6xHxAxRxDxYx ...and nobody gives a shit what u think.

  • sad movie

  • LMFAO MOST FUNNIEST THING EVER

  • I read the book and to see this movie was very disappionting. I expectaded WAY more. oh well. I wonder if the movie "Charlie" is better? does anyone know ?

  • Yes, I just got done watching it. Much batter for a 1968 film. It was just more fitting in my opinion.

  • They left so much out of this movie it wasnt even worth watching.

  • Really? Poo I just read the book and I wanted to see the movie. Is it bad?? I hate it when they leave stuff out.

  • Yeah, its bad. It was an insult to the book - I mean some parts were ok, but other then that.

  • How would you know if they left it out if you didnt watch it?

  • @Join430

I read the book and watched both movies, pray tell.

  • Aww):

  • i love the story of this it makes me cry whenever i watch it :'(

  • If only they knew he had PKU....

  • "I love you, Alice... more than anyone I've ever known...and that's why i want you to leave."

    ...

well that kinda spoiled the mood T3T

  • Comment removed

  • @KittiesOnCatnip it was funny for a second

  • Man, I've read the book and seen the 60's movie, and this one is by far much much better. The actors developed the characters extremely well. And it's a fine adaptation from the novel.

It's a shame that this film is not in dvd, I'd totally buy it

  • I've commented here a few times already that the DVD is available - legitimately. Just go to Amazon or any other online store and type in "Flowers for Algernon DVD." I just did and it shows as $6.99, the same price as when I bought my copy almost two years ago.

  • @InfernoWolf11 To a point, I agree that the 1968 film had superior acting and the screenplay was more artfully done overall, but I have to say that I sympathize with this portrayal of Charly far more than the 1968 one...despite how much better an actor Cliff Robertson was. This Charly is more genuinely simple and caring (even in his intelligent period), where as the Cliff Robertson one comes off as more self-centered and lustful, making it harder for me to care about his plight.

  • @smosdkaalavuelta it is on dvd my teach bought it

  • @smosdkaalavuelta But have you heard the musical starring Micheal Crawford as Charley?

  • I read the book. Absolutely amazing.

  • the old one is wayy better then this joke of a movie

  • This is one of the few made-for-TV movies that I genuinely love. I've never seen the 60s movie Charlie, and I don't particularly care to.

  • The book is great, I know they have an old movie about this story which wasn't that great but this scence is probably from a new movie

  • I love this fkkn movie so much.

I cried soo much the first time i watched it. and i still cry.

  • thx so much 4 having this on!

  • my teacher said it would be sad i guess its sad.... im sorry im not a person to cry at movies

  • where can i see this version?

  • the one from 1968 was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better

  • old one is way better

  • I cried so much when I watched this 3 minutes. I've seen the movie on tv, but couldn't find it anywhere, not even to buy it. And I've been looking for it for years so when I saw this... I was simply overwhelmed. It's my favourite movie version of the book. So, please, if you could just tell me where you found this, even if it's not complete, even if it's just pieces of the movie, you'd make so happy. And thank you so much for posting it. You made my day.

  • wish someone can upload the whole movie too :( i like the newer one better charlie isnt that stupid in the newer onw

  • preciosa pelicula si alguien sabe donde descargarla que me lo diga

  • original was way better...........

  • you guys are deprived of a good movie

the older one is wayyy better

  • i cried at the end of the old one it was so sad what had happend to him

  • if it's "unavailable" then how did you get this scene here.

  • this sucks how u always leave

  • wish someone could upload the whole movie :(

  • Someone uploaded the 1968 one, you could watch that one

  • i like the older 1 better lol

  • soo sad i want to cry

  • Great movie SOMEONE NEEDS TO UPLOAD IT!

  • hell ya!

  • I almost sheded a tear This book/movie was Good and Also SAD

  • I'm reading the book in my literature class

And Also watching the movie.... The movie is really weird sometimes...

  • This is too light for being an adaption of the book. Kind of disappointing.

  • This book was awesome.

  • such a sad movie =(

  • is this actually the last scene?

  • the book ending is so sad

  • In all honesty I thought the 1968 movie was far superior to this.

  • I did this play...I was alice kinnian it is a wonderful story!

  • i love the book..i`ll watch the movie,i hope i`ll like it

  • i love this movie so much! i remember crying while watching this movie...

  • I really love this

Who can share the whole version?

  • the guy who played charly in the 1968 movie was wayyyy more hot :)

  • @kaykay12345678910117

    but he was old

  • omg I love this movie; its soooo sad!!

  • the book is good, they could make the film so much better thought.

  • i've read about this book and i liked it.... and watching this scene really darn broke my heart... where can i watch this version of flower for algernon full? i watched the 1968 version, but i liked this version more...

  • I've mentioned this already, but the movie is now available on DVD at most online stores, Amazon being one of them. It's really cheap, too, so you have no excuse not to buy it. The DVD quality's much better than anything you can find online!

  • Maybe it was the mood I was in, but I wasn't crazy about this movie. Seemed a little hollow.

I've watched Charly a few times. I liked that version much better.

  • fuck i have a quiz tomorrow about the book

    can anyone help me ??

  • If anyone has this full video, can they PLEASE upload!? D:

I can't find it anywhere and I REALLY want to see this version.

  • We just finished the book and movie at school!

    It's an amazing story.

Lol I cried soo much watching the movie.

exspecially when he see's his mother, Algernon dies, and when ms.kinnian is crying because charlie is getting dumber.

    Oh god i'm tearing up.

  • where can u see the whole entire movie?

  • I don't know... thats what I was wondering. :P

  • That was the sweetest, most awesome book i've read yet this year!!!

    Woohoo Charley!!

That was a good video, too! The girl playing Alice did a really good job!

    =]

  • lol this book ruled, especial when that retard charlie put that dough on his head and was like " woopi-dee-lo-ha!" ahh... i feel sorry for him tho, hit by a car, retardness, night school, smartness, love, retardness. poor poor guy

  • It's dang sad..this story owns. I had to do a piece of work on this and its damn sad and I cried while doing my work. my mum was shocked.

  • While I prefer the 1968 film, this was undeniably beautiful. We finished watching this version in my reading class today, and from the scene of Algernon's death to the very end, I had to think of everything I possibly could to keep from sobbing. Flowers For Algernon has left a permanent weight on my heart.

  • gracias por subirla, la estaba buscando... aunque si estubiera sub al español seria mejor xD

    saludos

  • we're reading this in school right now
