@BaseFury PDW has a more genuine record to back himself up than Wayne Webb. He bumped into problems, learned his lesson, maintained a good love life, and succeeds in his bowling. It is too bad Wayne Webb did not succeed like PDW. Wayne's lifestyle was unsustainable and he failed to stay skilled due to bigger problems. Fortunately, Wayne Webb has made some comebacks as well, but it will never be like the 80's again.
@MONOPOLY35 Quite true, on all accounts. Damn. I remember the first time I met Wayne. It was at Golden Pin Lanes in Tucson, in 1980. He was almost a rock star by then, women surrounding him, all the perks. And, his game was SO tight. But, like you said, his lifestyle was unsustainable. Demons are what they are. Demons. It IS good, tho, to see Wayne excelling on the senior tour. A late reprieve, maybe, but a reprive.
It's true, PDW isn't an asshole. One of the nicest, most genuine guys on the tour I've ever interviewed.
