NOW I am reading a book by Francine Prose: Reading Like a Writer...She highly emphasizes slowing down/read every word/sentence/paragraph...What is your take on that?
@playto9 Hmm. That's actually a tough question because I feel like I do a combination of speed reading and really detailed reading. I think eventually you get good at recognizing what is important in the text and what can be skimmed. But you have to be careful because sometimes one little line can make/break the whole assignment.
I just finished all your videos in literally one sitting.
I guess I don't need to compliment you further...
I am studying for the LSAT...
My big thing is on how to read well..quickly...and comprehend, I believe reading becomes less of a chore, what do you say about speed reading ? The irony is: I have completed extensive research on speed reading and comprehension...
ive met someone who worked in a law firm (not as a lawyer but he was there with them), and he told me that there is no way to maintain ur morals and make money as a lawyer. So i was jus wondering if this is true. If u want to be a wealthy lawyer do u hav to drop morals? It would be great if u could give ur opinion im really confused whether to strive towards law school.
@torn424 As with any career, you can do it shady or you can do it honestly. If you want to be a moral lawyer, you will be a moral lawyer. I think the money comes from being a dedicated, ambitious, and charismatic worker, not from "dropping your morals." Maybe I'm an idealist, but I certainly plan on being honest AND making money :)
@TheAlex108718 I have! It's great. My boss from my first summer internship bought it for me as a parting gift, and it was the "textbook" for my Entertainment Law class.
@shawnee732 so you suggested it too someone whose thinking about law school whose freshout of high school.. because i want to buy it and read it.. eventhough im just entering undergrad fresh out of high school..
@TheAlex108718 Sorry about the late response. Yes, I would recommend it to someone who is thinking about music law. In fact, I would recommend it to anyone who is interest in the music industry in general. It is written for musicians, so the language is very easy to understand isn't all legal-ish.
i love these videos :) i just bought my LSAT study guide. do you suggest taking it in 2nd or 3rd year of my undergrad? i definitely need to take a legit LSAT course because those logic puzzles kill me. in your law school is it required to participate in either writing a supervised paper, moot or journal? ive been looking and that's pretty much a requirement. what extra stuff do you do? the thought of moot court scares me a bit.
@zacsgirlx I guess it's never too early to take the LSAT (I may be wrong on that though--they may need you to take it within a certain amount of time before applying--so check into that!) Journal is not required at my school, but it certainly looks good on your resume. Our first year we have a moot court class and a legal writing class (both required). Those classes scared me at first too, but honestly they've been the most helpful so far! Learning to write, research, and speak is invaluable.
aw im so sorry you have a draft due on your birthday :( i can't imagine writing 40 pages! my 9 page max memo was due about 2 weeks and that was stressful enough. major props to you :) thank you soo much for making this video. you are so awesome :)

@southernCOUNTRYnegro To be honest, I don't know anything about the joint program. I imagine having more eduction rather than less wouldn't hurt.
