She's awesome. I watch this video often to keep getting inspired. I love how detailed her head movements are, very sharp and with each step. Overall fantastic performance, great technique, grace, speed, abhinaya, etc. Perfect!
Every time I watch this--and I watch this a lot!--I am again amazed at how brilliant this entire performance is--musicians too! But dear Pankhuri, you are an awesome dancer and I am your biggest fan. Thank you for all your hard work and all those toe jumps. Please post more of it for us to enjoy :)
this varnam is by K.N.Dandayudhapani Pillai, not by Ponniah. I guess he wanted to follow Ponniah's varnam but change it up so its for krishna? dunno...
a nattuvanar handles the cymbals (thalam) and the rhythmic syllables (sollukattu during the jathi segements). Usually for an arangetram, the guru will do the nattuvangam and conduct the performance.

Pankhuri's arangetram was held last year Sept in Kuala Lumpur. The nattuvanar was Shankar Kandasamy and the vocalist Sampagodu S Vighnaraja.
