  • can you do this with the nikon coolpix L105 or do you need an slr camera

  • @iplaymusicuhear Ya you can do it.

  • @iplaymusicuhear You need a Camera where you can set the shutter speed

  • simply great............

  • Great tips. Gonna do it and have some fun :D.

  • yea Benro!!

  • great tips and great ideas... I love night trail photography... U helped me with a missing link of info. I now know why my camera shaking shots didn't work... You shot them on Manual not auto focus...Doh. Thanks bud. When I am visiting in Scottsdale next I will come by and say G'day mate!

  • LOL that was a really precise question haha

  • COOL! :D

  • Can this be done while in video mode?

  • is it possible to do these effect by using interchangeable compact camera?

  • @killingyou22

you just need a camera which you can have a control to your shutter speed

  • whats the num of the lens ?

    thanks

  • THANKS MARK!!!!!!!!!

  • hey 07:36 it tells me " 0.4 second at F/7.1 " when I did with my dslr ( D5100 Nikon ) the display goes like " 1/2.5 ( which is 0.4 second ) and F/3.5 " but everytime I moved my camera to objects with different Light levels , the " F/3.5 " changed to other number .

  • @revenlymokalu07 Try to put it in manual mode with the settings you originally want then it will remain the same

  • What's the exposure thing?

  • F22? i cant even find F13

  • I'm considerably new to photography and I was wondering why whenever I increase the exposure time, my picture is completely white. I automatically assumed it was because there was too much light, if so, is there a way I can stop this from happening?

  • @TehMixxMedia You are right, it is too much light. You can use a lower iso (sensitivity of the sensor) to 100, and close the aprature (use higher f-stops) to let less light in to compenste for exposure time. You can also use a dark ND filter.

Meter your shots to make sure they will be exposed properly before clicking. Hope this helps.

  • @joesbarandgrill100 My ISO is usually set to 80 so it's already as low as it can go, and because I'm so new I don't want to invest too much into a good camera until I know a decent amount, so I have a $100 camera that doesn't allow me to adjust the F stop or aperture. So, I'm guessing that because my ISO is already at 80, that I won't be able to take long exposure shots before buying a more expensive camera that allows me to adjust the f stop and/or aperture?

  • @TehMixxMedia If you can at the least control how long your exposures are you can put your camera on a tripod and try some 3 to thirty second exposures after the sun has completely gone down. There are formulas for long exposures but eveery camera is slighty different so you will need to play with how long your shots will be. Try it first in a safe and controlled area such as outside of your home after it goes dark and have a neighbor drive by or something of that nature.

  • @joesbarandgrill100 I'll try that, thank you! :D

  • this was ok ill watch more of your vids before i judge though :)

    it looks horrible.

  • @snowboarderrx : I have found it can be a great tool for creating abstract backrounds for green screen photos.

  • Great Tricks! And glad you used a 60D! I have one with the 18-135 as well as an EFS 55-250. I'm looking for a good wide angle lens for this camera, do you have any reccomendations?

  • @snapfactory Ah I see. Surprised that lens closes down so much. My bad. The more you know I guess.

  • @hcoll I was surprised as well. I had to check the specs just to double check. I thought I have imagined it.

  • @snapfactory Haha I can imagine.

  • @snapfactory i had an error in my camera once and it actually went all the way to f64 hahaha..was a waste i did not snap anythg with that error, or i'd have a rare camera EXIF ever available..
