Daniel you are the best violinist of Brazilian music abroad I could find on youtube. His style reminds me a lot of Carlos Barbosa-Lima. I know all the songs you play, because it's my favorite style, and presents you with a perfect technique. The melodies come out of your pure guitar. You put your talents to the song and that is rare. Congratulations and thank you for giving a refined his technique!

Hi Daniel & Adrian! You both went right to my "fav" videos with this song. I first heard "Favela" many years ago as performed by The Sergio Mendes Trio (pre- Brasil '66), just piano, bass & percussion, and with a guest floutist, Bud Shank, opening the song. Until I read the info here, just now, I never knew this was a Jobim composition!! (Shame on me!) Watching and hearing you both play this wonderful song made my day. Your version is outstanding!
