I'm mixed black and white I have curly hair just like you but more longer and curlier I need to kno how to get my hair wavy I don't want as much curly please help me
Why black people get weaves and like straight hair also known as "Good Hair" is when they were slaves they were treated more nicely by their "masters" if they had looser curls but thats just one reason, its not they're ashamed of their hair it's just been passed down over years.
I am transitioning from relaxed to natural and my new growth is the same texture and curls as yours is it possible to have that if I'm not mixed or do I just have mixed hair?
Don't people with mixed hair especially black ppl are normally supposed to use black products, because the other products could dry their hair out? I am mixed and I use black products and it helps. just curious.

The reason mixed hair is so hard to deal with is because it's niether black poeple hair or white people hair and it varies VASTLY so there isn't one standard way to really deal with it. The general rule of thumb is wash it like black hair, moisturize like curly white hair, and keep it away from high heat hair dryers.
@chibimakochan not really mixed ppl can have more afro textured hair or tha other race their mixed with.... or it could be a blend you never know what your guna get when you mix. not all mixed ppl have tha same hair so its wierd when you guys say you have mixed hair there is no such thing because you all dont have the same texture
@wwhitney30 that is very true considering I don't have afro textured hair. The only thing is that people who are mixed black and another race (though i've only really heard problems coming from people mixed with white) do tend to have similar problems. Hair not being strong enough to stand treatments commonly used and african american hair, but not as manageable as members of the other race they are mixed with. But you are correct no two mixed people have the same hair.

Actually it's not. There's no "special" mixed curly hair type. Many people have many varying degrees of curly or various textures in their head. Someone that's black can have the exact same hair texture as you or even straighter. Do a little more research and you'd be amazed at what you find.
Yeah, both of my parents are black (not mixed) but my hair still came out looking like hers. But most black ppl, with 2 black parents, dont have that same curl pattern. It's usually ALOT more coily (not curly). I kept watching videos on "natural hairstyles" and some of the hairstyles just would NOT come out right on my hair. Not bcus I wasn't doin it right, but bcus my hair is not as "coily" as most black ppl. Ppl who are mixed w/black usually end up with wavy hair or a mixture of coily/curly

The reason mixed hair is so hard to deal with is because it's niether black poeple hair or white people hair and it varies VASTLY so there isn't one standard way to really deal with it. The general rule of thumb is wash it like black hair, moisturize like curly white hair, and keep it away from high heat hair dryers.

The only thing is that people who are mixed black and another race (though i've only really heard problems coming from people mixed with white) do tend to have similar problems. Hair not being strong enough to stand treatments commonly used and african american hair, but not as manageable as members of the other race they are mixed with. But you are correct no two mixed people have the same hair.

Actually it's not. There's no "special" mixed curly hair type. Many people have many varying degrees of curly or various textures in their head. Someone that's black can have the exact same hair texture as you or even straighter. Do a little more research and you'd be amazed at what you find.

Yeah, both of my parents are black (not mixed) but my hair still came out looking like hers. But most black ppl, with 2 black parents, dont have that same curl pattern. It's usually ALOT more coily (not curly). I kept watching videos on "natural hairstyles" and some of the hairstyles just would NOT come out right on my hair. Not bcus I wasn't doin it right, but bcus my hair is not as "coily" as most black ppl. Ppl who are mixed w/black usually end up with wavy hair or a mixture of coily/curly

yea im black and some how sum way like half of my family has "mixed" hair. sum of my family members have just straight hair...sumtimes i wish i got the wavy hair gene but oh well i still love my thick hair.

@pickaboo18 She probably knows that, maybe she just didnt know the right words to say. she probably just ment alot of mixed people have THAT type of curl. Cause alot of black people dont have the curl "mixed people" have. Even though mixed people can have different hair textures then each other too.
