@MrIrishlogic I disagree, due to the massive overpopulation of humans on this planet zoos are extremely important to conservation of not just lions but animals in general. People don't care about things they've never even seen. And if you can open a park like Seaview or Kingdom of the White Lion and show people that these animals are more like us then we think... that's ridiculously important. But either way your comment @ this video was not justified. Ace and John did the right thing here.

They are taking animals brought into captivity against their will and giving them their lives back. You disgust me insulting George Adamson like that... What amazed me most is how Christian 's companion was so friendly upon meeting these humans and giving the permission of phyical contact, unless it too was raised by humans then it would be extremely rare for a wild lion to be friendly.

Also interesting how Christian remembered them so quickly. Truly amazing how animals react to human's compared to other species.

@MrKjottboller Chances are moderate of that. I don't know for sure if that lioness was orginally hand-raised but George Adamson (the man you see with the shirt off in most of these videos) took on lions raised in captivity and taught them how to live wild... Christian was one of such lions. George Adamson's relationship with the now wild lions was just as good as Kevin Richardson's is with his cats. Boy (one of the lions) even came back after a bad fight and let George treat his wounds.

I loved this video sooo much <3 it's truly amazing & it shows the connection one could have with an animal. however, I was wondering... is/was the other lion his companion/mate (of Christian)? if so, it's rather touching.. it's like he wanted to introduce her to them! ^_^

@KuttingsEdge He was a pride leader so yes it was one of his mates. Boy was the orginal head of the pride with Christian but when Boy died, Christian took over solely. That was what made Ace and John come back to see him. George Adamson kept them updated here and there on Christian's progress and he sent them a letter saying that Boy had died and Christian was very upset.... spending a lot of time laying around Boy's grave.

@TheDivineProvidence Probably because he didn't like Christian jumping up on him (learned when he was younger) while the other liked it. If there is anything this video should teach it is that all animals have a brain and use it. All can think and process information/have memories/make decisions... etc Also after they left this time they came back 2 years later when Christian was fully grown with a full mane any he still remembered them... However, that was the last time they saw him.
