I had a 04 rsx type S and i loved it...drove the piss out of every day and it still ran perfect..BTW the white and blue look the best...the performance was really good...i mean third gear chirping and 8000 rpm redline....actually i embaraced a lot cars with much bigger engines..
Now I drive a E92 ///M3, and its absolutely amazing...each time I drive it im amazed even more BUT!!!! My old RSX type S makes me smile everytime i think about it..

I have driven ALOT of different cars from hyundai to corvettes to lambos and ferraris; out of all of them i honestly think that this car has the best manual transmission that i have ever had the pleasure of using. No wonder people love thier hondas... I do think the gear ratios are too short however, as you can hit the red line in first at like 30 km per hour
RSX is one of those cars where a certain paint color can make the car look a lot better. Personally, silver does not look good on this, but blue is another story.

@lilyelaboi Don't get the Mazda unless you get a manual. It's got a great engine but it's wasted on the lazy automatic transmission. Don't know much about the Hyundai, but I'm sure it's lightyears behind the Acura.

no they all have 200hp. they changed the way they do their dyno for 05 then switched back in 06. look it up. i got a base and factory says155hp but really dyno at 165-170. so kpro and swapping the cams and intake rockers will put you right at the type s, maybe a lil more. cheaper then buying an "s" slowly saving to convert mine

I had the '05 Type S and fell in love with it from the 1st start up and test drive. In fact, on the test drive, a man in a Gran Prix GTP challenged me and then asked what the car was as he finally caught up at the next traffic light. He followed me back to the dealer and bought one himself! Mine was taken from me when a Gran Torino ran a light and knocked the front end off and sent me into a pole demolishing the entire car, driver had no insurance! Thanks Asshole!!

I have an 05 type s and i can honestly say that if ur friend sits behind the passenger he or she should be fine... behind the driver is another story... great car overall but u can really notice a performance dip with more than two people
1 more question: would you honestly take this car for a 10 hour road trip with 4 people in it including you? the reason im asking is because me and my friends are planning on driving down to cali from vancouver, and by then ill either have an rsx or an impreza..the rsx is nicer and better on gas, but the impreza has more room and is probably a little faster, as it has 180 hp
For the comfort alone, I would get the Impreza. The RSX is actually faster with a 210hp engine but lacks in space for taller guys. I am 6'3" and couldn't even get into the back seat with anyone in the fronts. And with you being in a snowy region, the all-wheel drive offered by the Subaru would be better for you as well. If you didn't plan on having more than 1 or 2 passengers, the Acura is better in quality though. It's all a matter of your needs. I would definitely test and research both.

I have to disagree with the headturner comment... This car has always captured my attention, ever since it first came out. I'm about to purchase a red '02 rsx, and the car is just hot! I mean sure, it's no lotus as far as eye catching is concerned, but I wouldn't wanna be caught dead in one of those (God forbid)...

Looks not so special.. if to think about the Acura racing history then you get the idea that this car is boring ...the Acura NSX 1991 was a copy of Nissan but a racing car with performance and history...
the NSX was meant to be a cheap and reliable ferrari. Nissan's performance car has always been the skyline and that's been a beefy rather than sleek car
the only nissan car that looks anything like the NSX is the 300ZX and that's a FR coupe, not a midengine rear wheel drive sports car

My girlfriend has this car. Awesome car seriously, you can't beat Honda products. Same goes for Toyotas and Nissans. Only gripe it the exterior of the second gen. We prefer the quirky "rounded" headlights of the first gen and the larger spoiler too. All together, AWESOME car, no doubt!

@exclusivefresh the impreza would be a lot more comfortable than the rsx for a road trip. i haven't had any complaints about room in my back seat but i haven't driven anyone more than 3 miles to be honest. i would personally go with the rsx since its my first love but the impreza will definitely have more room. one other thing is the seats in the rsx are more comfortable than my friends wrx but again mine are leather so that could be why. dont forget about fuel economy either!
@exclusivefresh i did actually just get a chance to ride in the back of my rsx and my head hits the ceiling, im just under 6 feet tall, unless you slouch it gets to be a pain so i dont know if i would recommend it for a road trip. maybe if you stopped often...
i mean the back seat is pretty small i have one and even with the passanger side unless the passanger is below 5'7" and the perosn behind them is small than it will be a tight fit i fold mine down and just tell ppl i dont have a back seat

I did a quote online and my premium was 389 par month. for an 04> It messed up how insurance are so high for young driver like me. Wouldnt have been nice to have parents around would be alot cheaper dricing under someone.lol. Hopefully in the next 2- 3 year i can afford this car. lol.

the insurance wasnt too bad but im sure if i werent only 20 it would be better lol! Eventually ill get my car domain setup and ill post videos and pictures up. planning on getting new headlights and wings west rear wing to start out, later on im gonna get intake and an exhaust.

the only nissan car that looks anything like the NSX is the 300ZX and that's a FR coupe, not a midengine rear wheel drive sports car

My girlfriend has this car. Awesome car seriously, you can't beat Honda products. Same goes for Toyotas and Nissans. Only gripe it the exterior of the second gen. We prefer the quirky "rounded" headlights of the first gen and the larger spoiler too. All together, AWESOME car, no doubt!

@exclusivefresh the impreza would be a lot more comfortable than the rsx for a road trip. i haven't had any complaints about room in my back seat but i haven't driven anyone more than 3 miles to be honest. i would personally go with the rsx since its my first love but the impreza will definitely have more room. one other thing is the seats in the rsx are more comfortable than my friends wrx but again mine are leather so that could be why. dont forget about fuel economy either!

@exclusivefresh i did actually just get a chance to ride in the back of my rsx and my head hits the ceiling, im just under 6 feet tall, unless you slouch it gets to be a pain so i dont know if i would recommend it for a road trip. maybe if you stopped often...

i mean the back seat is pretty small i have one and even with the passanger side unless the passanger is below 5'7" and the perosn behind them is small than it will be a tight fit i fold mine down and just tell ppl i dont have a back seat

I will be graduating next year and i wantan rsx. Im 22 and i drive an 2000 Honda civic dx coupe and i m paying 220 monthly third party coverage. I did a quote online and my premium was 389 par month. for an 04> It messed up how insurance are so high for young driver like me. Wouldnt have been nice to have parents around would be alot cheaper dricing under someone.lol. Hopefully in the next 2- 3 year i can afford this car. lol.

if someone with a BASE RSX doesnt mind helping me out with a couple questions please...
on the BASE RSX is it possible on basically a stock engine to hit 8500rpm? once again not a type s but a BASE RSX.
also do intake and a exhaust on the same BASE RSX really add 45hp?
can the BASE RSX hit 150-160mph with those two mods?
i only ask cuz i know a guy thats says his RSX base model can hit over 150mph with E/I adding 45hp and redlines it at 8500rpms.
any help please?
