But it will never be.

On the upside, If it "were" to be made into a live action feature, (unless his health is taking a turn for the worse) James E. Jones could still play Ommadon as "age" would not be a factor in the character.

That alone would make the movie worth going to see on the big screen.

i love this movie so much i watach this all the time when i was a kid lol. if only kids today could see what great cartoons are. not like the crap they show today. also it would be interresting if they remade this but did a non-cartoon version....eh maybe not they wouldnt be able to do this movie justice

I checked on amazon this evening and the film is now available on DVD; looks like it was released quite recently. It's only available in the Region 1 and NTSC formats, but who knows; a Region 2 release might follow. It's been a real nostalgia fest watching all these clips tonight; I grew up watching this film. Ommadon is one of the most FABULOUS villains of all time, in my book; superbly voiced by the great James Earl Jones.
