Sleep walk is a song that is wide open to interpretation. After all, Santo and Johnny did it with two guitars, a steel guitar for melody and a regular guitar for rhythm. Playing it exactly like the record is like making a photocopy of the Mona Lisa- it looks good, but it is a replica of someone else's art. Playing it your own way IS art. Your version is fine, don't listen to the copycats that don't understand that concept.
