Hillary News: the New Zealand Geographic Board is considering Naming a Mountain Ridge near Mt Cook after Sir Edmund. there is another submission to re-name Mt Olivier in Mount Cook National Park: Mt Olivier / Hillary as it was his inspirational first summit & also rename nearby Magellan Pk: Tenzing Norgay Peak to honour his co-party in his great achivement. However the Media is backing the Hillary Ridge Idea thus far.

There is no mistery. Lots of facts, lots,.. clearly point that M & I never made it to the summit. Read... Read and list the facts... Sir Edmund Hillary & Mr Tenzing Norgay. Way up, summit and way down. The hell of a difference ! !

Hillary and Tenzing Norgay... It's a darn shame NZ has not Honoured Tenzing more as the "Summit" was a joint effort. There was a suggestion to Re-Name a Peak at Mt Cook NP after Mr Norgay. that would have been a nice gesture, seeing as he let us Kiwis take all the Glory.
