There's nothing that sounds wrong or weird with your clean sounding southern accent: it is very clear and natural sounding and clear to all English language speakers. Your other accent, trying to drop the Southern bit, is no better and a bit less true. Be happy how you are as a new native speaker. All the best.

a cute recipe I make often, 'cos is easy and fast to prepare.

I would reduce the fry time from 6-8 to maximum 3-5 minutes though, cos at the end it will result more soft and tender under the teeth.

PS: do not change your lovely accent! :)
