Senetor McCain: I mean exactly what i say when i say that i am willing to fight for my country, and by God i am going to when i am the president of the united states!
Senetor Obama: Uhhhh, the the the th-th-the, the uhh mcain is uhhh wel-well, i think-i-i-i think that uuhhhh.
the community college I go to (college of the redwoods) is about to get shut down because of lack of funding. and if that does happen, I will have to pick up and move somewhere I've never been before simply in order to get to a university in the first place. please Barack, do something to help our education system!
Senator Obama's track record in Illinois... it is a picture of corruption, out-of-control spending & a government that will tax any business into non-existence. Since 2002 Illinois has consistently lagged in job growth. Since 2002 Illinois has raised more taxes and fees than any other state in the nation, while failing to balance their budget even once. As of Oct. 2008, Illinois is over 18 mo.'s behind in Medicaid payments to health care providers. Go ahead then...Google it! Change?..Not much.
Everyone of us here at Bust has a strong opinion about the problems in our education system. Each of us has been affected by this. Each of us knows that the education system must change... if anyone wants to see a strong U.S. again.
Mr. Obama you are realy a good man. The best president for America. I realy respect you way of thinking. I read an artical in a Turkish paper. I am Turkish and your conclussion is that Turkey is an occupier. Why? You are the most wonderfull person in decades. We are not occupiers because of Cyprus.
I'm a Canadian student attending University. Our economy and energy situation is also on the verge of crisis. Though our socialized medicine gives us peace of mind as far as healthcare, our tuition costs continue to rise and it is a struggle for middle class families to support post-secondary education for their children. All I can say is that I hope Obama can keep his promises and set precedents for education in North America. I can proudly say that I am an International Obama Supporter.
No Child Left Behind is more like EVERY Child Left Behind. Teachers are teaching how to test the standardized test now a days. I hope that education gets reformed. From what I've seen, students enrolling into engineering are getting less and less every year. We need to encourage math and science again.
If the next 4 years sees the continuation of programs that are crucial to the survival of our country, getting pinched even tighter in order to maintain our status of military strength and as "peace keepers," I will leave this place. A peace-keeping nation is only as strong as it's people. And other countries will be more respectful of peace if it is truly peace they see.
I wanted to hear about Senator Obama's education plan because all I ever hear him say is stuff about making college affordable for everyone. Our high school drop out rates are what concern me. Not everyone should go to college. Some don't want to and some careers don't require it. But everyone should graduate from high school and everyone can already afford that. I'm afraid he's missing a very basic problem.
I was born and raised in Canada but i am an American citizen jus sanguinis (both of my parents were born and raised in the US) and i just voted for Barack Obama by absentee ballot yesterday. Everyone get out there and vote! You may be eligible and not even know it! Take a chance!
Barack, the education in this country is ridiculous. Most people remain in school their whole life. Ok, maybe that's an exageration, but people are definitely in school well into their 30's, 40's. Why is this? People in foreign countries don't spend nearly as much time in school, and they are more intelligent. We need to spend less time in school, and more time working to pay off these damn student loans.
This is an issue of massive importance to me. I've come through the public K-12 system in my city, and am getting ready to go to college. As many other people have, my family and I are trying desperately to figure out we'll pay for my education.
I'm confident that Barack will work to champion the cause of the students to allow everyone the educational opportunities of higher learning.
Obama needs a mandate to get things done so he not only needs to get elected, he needs to win big. So even if you life in California, New York or Massachusetts which will very likely go Blue, you need to go out and vote!
i love you barack at least you are acknowledge that college students have a difficult time to pay. as a college student, im insulted that mccain has a serious lack of interest of investing in america's future with early childhood education and college students.
however i would love it if you would consider parents having the option to choose schools for their children

anyone who beleives that this man can help education is simply in need of one.
When you socialize a country and give people everything they need, they won't work. They won't strive to be BEST.
If you think obama is a great educator lol
You might want to look at chicago's schools where he served years trying to (cough) help it.
chicago's schools are one of the worst in the nation.
NOBAMA!

01Rae2U,
I think you're the one in need of education!
The Gallup Polls show that 59% of people with post-graduate education support Obama; Compared to 36% for Mccain as of October 6-12, 2008.

Its becoming so obvious that the power and money behind the Republican Party
Is fearful of McCain and Palin actually getting into office
Well the power and money behind the Republican Party can kiss my butt
My vote is for McCain
Hes so true to America
even his own corrupt party is looking to sabotage him

It sounds good, but I fear that the current economic troubles will put a hold on any spending on education or anything but essential services.
Fingers crossed, but I am not optimistic.
