I am writing to ask you to reconsider the stoppage of the unemployment insurance extension. Both my son and I are unemployed, he since August and I since April 2009. Even though I have been struggling, I have managed to help my son and his family (wife and 5 yr old daughter) with their Cobra payments ($600 / month), while we both look for work. My son is diabetic and on an insulin pump, and it would be a disaster if he lost his medical insurance.

The 11 people who gave this video a thumbs down need a serious lesson in economics and history. Sen. Bunning is one of the only Senators who can ever say they will leave a "great" legacy in Congress. Not so for Chairman Dodd who will leave with his head down - retiring because he has no shot of re-election... and lucky his "noble" status will keep his ass out of jail. I am writing to ask you to reconsider the stoppage of the unemployment insurance extension. Both my son and I are unemployed, he since August and I since April 2009. Even though I have been struggling, I have managed to help my son and his family (wife and 5 yr old daughter) with their Cobra payments ($600 / month), while we both look for work. My son is diabetic and on an insulin pump, and it would be a disaster if he lost his medical insurance.

9:50 mark in video...what's up with bank's taking hair cuts?? LOL. Good thing he's about to retire, his reading comprehension is starting to go downhill. But all joking aside, it's good to see other Congressman grilling Bernanke besides Ron Paul. The most powerfull man in the world needs some critique while he runs roughshod over our economy.

He's almost 80, I'll be lucky to live that long, much less speak as good as I do now. Senator Bunning, Ron Paul, and Bernie Sanders are all doing a good job on this criminal organization we call The Fed. I hope Rand Paul, Dr. Paul's son, takes Bunning's seat.

Really, what courage! The "payout at par" action was/is semi- (or wholly) criminal. Senator Bunning calls him out on this great outrage. I commend him.

A courageous oration.
I have cynically believed that nearly none of Congress acts from genuine motivation (obviously excluding Dr. Ron Paul). Maybe there's hope. I hope this is genuine, and not populist posturing. I simply don't know Senator Bunning well enough yet to conclude.

Na, Jim is a good guy. Hell, even Mitch "Bailout" McConnell doesn't even like him; and they're both republicans. Bunning hates the banks as any other freedom loving American. Again, his real problem was that he did not get along with the big government established Republicans.

Like usual, Sen. Bunning has been like a voice crying out the truth in the Wilderness all these years. I only wish some of our very popular conservative radio/TV personalities would realize this before the blather on that no one from the Republican party has been speaking out. That`s as un-true as the obvious Democrat lies. We have an old saying in America : A little knowledge is a bad thing !!
